Teresa
Thanks Teresa, appreciate the comment. I used a piece of blue acrylic that I ordered from amazon, I sealed it to the back black wall with aquarium sealant and then foamed around it. I guess you could just place it in the tank and add rock around it to keep it in place...even use epoxy to set it if you didn't want to drain the tank. Do you know which vendor on amazon you bought the blue acrylic from? I'm really interested in trying it!

Mr Cob
Made some more progress in the stand today... Tunze auto top-off installed and PH probe hooked up (need to calibrate still): ..and something a little different for me, going to try utilizing a cooler to hold the ro/di top off container: ..my thought is that it will also serve as a place to hold the wet pump during container switch out and anything wet while performing tank chores such as a wet pump from water changes. Guess we will see, I kind of wanted to have a stand built for it so that I could store misc items under it but we'll give this a go. Plenty of room in this stand to add a shelf of some sort. Diatoms started a couple of days ago, added a small clean-up crew from my other tank. No update is complete without a FTS..
reefninja
This looks really nice. I really like BioCubes, and the stand you had built for this looks awesome! Can't wait to see how it progresses.
Mr Cob
Thanks, reefninja. UPDATE: *DO NOT try to run your auto top-off container/pump elevated...lol DUH! It kicked on and just kept dumping into the sump via gravity... luckily I was sitting there to watch it. Not sure what I was thinking on that one. Cooler stand removed and RO/DI container just placed level with the sump. Problem solved...moving on.
Mr Cob
Installed my PowerBrite LED modules tonight for actinic lighting...mainly for viewing tank when MH is off, I'm a blue nut. Love corals under blue led. Cool little spirorbid worm that has been living on this coco worm for over 5 years now..the pink sponge joined up a couple of years ago.. Mr Cob
Started adding a couple of corals over the last few days and added my clowns today. Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish pair, been with me for about a year and half now. Orange and Yellow Pagoda Cup. This coral has been with me for about 3 years, one of my only corals that I have never fragged, got it from Justin (justahobby) as a little thumbnail frag. Tyree War Coral. This war has been with me for about 5 years and I have fragged it many..many...many times. Love this piece, got it from Giau (aquasport). Miami Hurricane chalice, picked this up through Lucky (lsingh) about a year and a half ago under MCC, grows like mad and has been fragged so many times. I will be adding a coral or two every few days until they are all transfered over from my 85g. Did a large water change a few days ago after the diatoms were in full bloom. As I add stock I'm doing small water changes to assist in the increased bio load.

Mr Cob
Got a few updates... - Switched the MP40 out and traded for an MP10 along with some coral (I'm very happy with downgrading to the MP10... while the 40 was nice it was just a lot of pump in the water and was standing out too much) Thx Mark! - Added my phosban reactor - Started dosing 2.5ml of H2o2 (hydrogen peroxide 3%)... on day 3 of a 7 day plan, corals look great, water is clear and micro algae is slowing down. I had a bad dyno and hair algae problem break out in my 85g and some of the frags are in this sytem now so this is an attempt to control it before it becomes an issue. - traded a few more frags thx Jeremy! - re-worked the rock again, mainly just moved the top rock out to open up more room for SPS growth First up...tank shots: (nevermind the frag racks... I only use them for acclimating new corals and then they are out in a few days) from the left from the right.. Phosban reactor (kent), if you ever buy a kent reactor just save yourself the time and re-seal it, mine salt creep leaked in several places so I re-sealed it at every possible place and it's solid now. Still need to swap out the clear tubing for solid black tubing to prevent algae growth New corals.. Blastos Green on Green Frogspawn (this one used to be mine and I got it back in a trade lol)
