chatfouz
ok i know this may just be by opinion but if anyone is looking for a filter go with like anything else. do not bother with RENA XP anything. i had this filter for the last 2 months and it has been nothing but a pain in !#$%^&*&^%$# the thing doesnt prime, it produces so many microbubles, and this morning if it is not good enough it started SMOKING!!! i am returning this and im gong to go buy a magnum. or something else. i just have to share my experience. ok so this is also a little bit to vent as well... would anyone suggest a different filter?? im looking at the marinelands, ehims. i honestly have not heard very good things about fluval. i am going to have to see what i can get. Entropy
The Eheims canisters are good quailty, and I have never had a problem with the Fluval either. Do you really need a canister though?
chatfouz
i have a sump, i understood canisters are the best way to transport water from point A to point B
Entropy
Canisters are a good way to build up nitrates. The only thing I ever used my canister for (Fluval 304) was water polishing. I basically packed it full of floss and Purigen and cleaned it often. So are you saying you are using your canister as a return pump?
