Pailines
WTB some equipment for me future JEBO R347 40B Looking for a Refractometer, brand isn't important, but accuracy is. A skimmer fit for a 40gal display +/- 10gallon sump, yet has the foot print small enough to fit in the 10gal. Need about 20-30lb of 'DEAD' rock, last patch of live rock i got was full of head aches. Haven't check with prof, but rather see if anyone need to unload first. (sorry no base rock) And lastly, looking for a return pump that is silent or near silent in operation, while able to push 300+/- gal @ 3-4ft. If anyone have anything that fits, or similar, send me a message, i check ARC often, and ain't afraid of suggestions. Cheers, David.
DerrickH
I have a quiet one 6000 that you can take for $30. I used it on my 40g but have changed to a true external high pressure pump.
+southside45
I have a refractometer (not sure brand but it's spot on, bought it from fosters&smith for $40) and a Octopus 110 skimmer that works like a beast. I've been out of the hobby for a while and have been holding onto them in case I get back in but at this point, I'm not sure when it will happen. The skimmer needs a new impeller because it got rusty sitting there but other than that will be the best for the money. The skimmer retails for $200. I'm thinking $120 for both, the impeller will probably run you about $20 bucks.
Pailines
Thanks DerrickH, but the QuietOne 6000 is a bit high gal/hr/ft then i would like, but i'll keep your offer in mind, if i cant find anther one ,i'll contact you about purchasing yours, if no one snatch it up for such a steal*. southside45, im definitely interested in the F&S refractometer, but still ehh about the skimmer. I found two skimmer by the name, one is http://www.saltysupply.com/Reef-Octopus-NWB-110-4-Internal-Pr-p/oc3524.htm and the other is http://www.saltysupply.com/Reef-Octopus-DNWB-110-4-Recircula-p/oc1023.htm, difference being one require an additional pump, im just trying to understand what model the skimmer is so i can look for the replacement impeller. But none-the-less, i am interested in your offer.
+southside45
Here is the one I have http://www.aquacave.com/Reef-Octopus-DNWB-110-Recirculating-Protein-Skimmer-P931.aspx Found the impeller here: http://www.afishybusiness.com/Octopus-Protein-Skimmer-Parts-s/276.htm They're a little more expensive than the last I checked so if you are intersted I can drop it down to $100 for both
