Hello, my name is Jack. I grew up in Austin and have just moved back home after a 5-1/2 year hiatus in St Louis. This town has really changed!!!! I downsized my tank from a 125 to my old 58 and will keep it this way for a year or so unless the addiction gets too much again. :)

The tank as it was 7-15 before I began the painful process of selling it off.

I still have the important corals being stored by a good friend in St Louis and hope to have the 58 up and running in less than a month. I will either light it with a pair of 150 watt LuminArc Mini's or a single 250. I am leading more towards the 150's if I can get a canopy built to house them.

I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming active in the club. I have yet to visit any LFS's because I am not ready to set up the tank and I know my addiction. :)

Thanks, it is good to be home. I hope the LFS's here are as good as the ones in St Louis. We were bleseed with many many choices and excellent local reefers that helped support them.

My little 58 will be propped up well with equipment. Dual LAIII Mini's retro'd to be 150 watt with XDE 10k's in them run by ARO electronic ballasts. Lebos moonlight system (3 bulb variety for nice night viewing). Sanders ozone unit and orp controller. ASM G3 that has been finely tuned and tweaked enough (recirculating, gate valve and fed by a mesh modded GenX1500 to adjust the air intake, both pumps with improved venturi's) it was perfect for the 125 and will be overkill on the 58. MRC calcium reactor with milwaukee ph controller. Eheim 2246 cannister for carbon and phosban. 1/5 horse chiller to keep the temps stable. One MjMod high flow, a Seio 1500, and a shroud modified maxijet 1200 on a wavemaker for alternating flow. My bank account isn't new to the addiction. lol

I need to know about the LFS's...which one is more equipment and supply heavy and which is more sps dominated? I will eventually hit them all and I don't want to know of problems anyone has had in the past or to rate the LFS's but usually one will be more geared towards equipment and one more towards livestock, some better with fish other better with sps. I have learned they all have their strong points...it is these strong points I am interested in. Feel free to pm or e-mail me with your responses. I don't want ay of the LFS's to be offended...I hope to work well with all of them soon enough.

I am very thankful to be back home and it looks like the saltwater scene here is a good one.

Cheers to all.
