scubasteve92
Update.. So my maxima clam was doing great, until the other day it looked as if the mantle of the clam was disintegrating. Looked to see if anything was messing with it and couldnt find anything. That evening, after the lights went out I watched to see if anything was pestering it. I still did not see a thing. The next morning the entire mantle was gone and the clam was not even reacting to me shielding the light. Sad to say I lost my favorite part of my tank.. Everything checked out expect for my nitrates being around 5ppm. Will that kill a clam that quickly? Also i found FW on my rics. Could they have killed it? I am adding FW exit either tonight or tomorrow. Any thoughts or opinions? Joshua
Nwehrman
Sorry about the clam... I have no advice but love your tank. I'm just too new to offer any advice. Nicole Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CaptainK
Looks awesome, I have been thinking about getting a protein skimmer for my 20 as well. How often do you do water changes?
scubasteve92
Thanks! How often do you do water changes? I do a 2g to 2.5g water change weekly. Im currently only running a protein skimmer as filtration. I highly recommend one though!
mFrame
The RBTA looks a little pale. What kind of temperature is the tank running at? Has the AI Sol been on it the whole time?

Yep, my lights are at around 40-45%. Been ramping them up pretty slowly. And my tank stays at a solid 78. I will sometimes see it just under like 76 or 77 but not lately.
