subsea
I am going down to Corpus for the day and return late tonight. No fixed schedule except a 1 PM meeting with maraculture specialist on Mustang Island. The meeting will involve a shrimp farmer. They asked me to bring seaweed for him to seed a crop of seaweed. The shrimp are his cash crop. He needs a turf algae scrubber to clean up nutriants from the effluent discharge of his shrimp farm. Maybe I can get some live jumbo shrimp for a unispecies tank? Does anybody want to take a trip south? There and back today. I want to leave by 10AM. Patrick 512-514-1446 home 512-318-3854 cell

subsea
The drive there and back is a lot for one day. There are good collection at the jetties near Port Aransas. When the weather is warmer, it is good Pepermint Shrimp collecting at night. I will research some more areas for seagrasses and marine plants. The meeting was very informative and I have started an affiliation partnership with a shrimp farmer to the west of San Antonia. I brought one pound of seaweed to the meeting and left with five pounds of large shrimp (ten shrimp make one pound), The PhD scientist that runs the Maraculture Research Lab graduated from the University of Tel Aviv. He was a tank commander in the seven day war in 1967 and I was a flying crew chief on Puff the Magic Dragon over the same desert during the same war. Go figure. +Grog
Day trips for fishing used to be the norm for me 15 years ago. That drive is rough on me now. (Galveston instead of CC but it is still a doozie of a drive).
