polarbear
So I have a 14 gallon biocube that has a lot of scratches on it and I am wanting to see if they can be puffed out. If they can, does anyone know where I can go to get it done? Here is a picture of the tank.
mFrame
It's probably cheaper to just buy a new aquarium. I looked into this for some scratches on my solana and prices started at $150. if they are very minor you can try buffing them out, but I would not expect much success. polarbear
I figured it would cost to much for a small tank. Its just going in my office at work for my own enjoyment so I dont mind the scratchs to much. Rather not buy a new tank since this one is good. Thanks. (Bio)³
Arent the solana's made from glass and the BC acrylic? I have heard there are kits out there for acrylic tanks, perhaps something like a headlight restoration kit but reef safe.
Timfish
If it's glass replace it. If it's acrylic you can use emroy cloth in multiple steps to 3000 grit then get lapping paper to 9000 or 12000 grit. I think Dpetttet knows a website to get a kit. Youalso can use it under water so you don't have to empty your tank. If the tank is empty you can use Novus #3 and then #2.
mFrame
The Biocubes are most definitely glass. Check out Oceanic's own website, it states it on the left side of the page: http://www.oceanicsystems.com/products/biocube.php
