Timfish
I make reactors out of 4" PVC & a small powerhead that will hold a couple of cups (usually I mix GFO and carbon together) and stick them in the sump or behind rock in my sumpless systems. Robb in Austin
I've done it both ways. No difference IME.
AquaJohn
thanks I asked because my phosphates hit 2 I added a reactor with gfo and got a red sea phosphate kit. In a few days it was at 1 now 10 or so days later it still hovering at about .64. I changed out the gfo and it still did not drop below .64. I have cut WAY down on feeding. But I also added a Diamnod gobie and he is definatly sturring up the sand so that may be why its still high but my sand looks awsome again. I was running the reactor in the sump and thought that putting it directly in the tank might help.
