Brunofamily
I suddenly have what looks like an egg sack or a cotton ball hanging under my rock. I have soft corals, one anemone, 5 or six common fish and the usual clean up crew. I have had snail eggs, but this doesn't look anything like it. I'll try to get a picture, but it's in a weird position. It is about an inch by 1/2 inch, all white.
Timfish
My first guess would be a sponge species. Look up Tethys sp.
Brunofamily
I'll look it up, thanks.

Aaarrrggg
Definitely some sort of spongy thing. I had something similar in my last tank but it was more beige... never seemed to cause a problem. Yours looks cool!
Woods
Definitely a sponge. You can see the vent in the first pic. They are fine. I have them all over my rock. I have yellow, white, purple, orange and dark (almost black) ones.
wa1tx
If they are sponges, should they be fed? Or do they get there food from the water column?
Chad and Jen May
They feed from the column...
