+dapettit
Can any one tell me if I can use Weld-On 16 to fix this crack. Not only is the sheet cracked it is separated from the side. I am repairing a leak on the inside of the overflow on our 150 and will have plenty of Weld-on left over. Any and all suggested are helpful. . . Thanks, ARC is the best! Headless_donkey
I would go to Regal Plastics, look in the scrap bin, and make patches for either side of the cracked panel. I would use weldon 16 in the crack and to glue the patches on to the sides. You should be able to fix the separation from the edge the 16 and a clap. +dapettit
I only have one clamp. I'm thinking that's enough. Robin is going to Regal, Friday, to get some scratch remover. Should she look for a square rod to run along the seam. I thinking maybe 1/4" Any suggetstions?
tomanero
Never repaired acrylic so can't help there but have some clamps if you need to borrow them.
Headless_donkey
I would just get what ever pieces from the scrap pile that are the correct size. I would use weld on 16. In theory you should be able to just "fill" the crack. The other pieces are just for support. BTW come with cash on fridays to Regal and they will cut you deals on scraps. +dapettit
Someone beat her to the scrap. Robin just got a 1/2" rod. I can use it to fix the overflow problem, too. Steve- I may take you up on your clamp offer. Headless - thanks to you, too.
Headless_donkey
Dang! You should take pictures before and after of the repairs. I think this kind of knowledge is super useful.
