Onebb Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I've been using B-Ionic 2 part dosing system as well as B-Ionic Magnesium dosing when necessary. Any recommendations for a powder form product for dosing? I have heard that mixing your own liquid dosing solutions from a powder product is more reliable in determining how much you're actually dosing. My options are to keep buying liquid B-ionic or try mixing my own with powder and RO. Thoughts? Thanks, Onebb Quote
pbnj Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Check-out Bulk Reef Supply's Alk/Ca dosing supplements. Easy to mix solutions and much cheaper than B-Ionic. Quote
Derekreefer Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 since you have a small tank like me check out seachem's alk and Reef Complete (CA, Sr (strontium) and Mg). I like it. Avail at the dome Quote
Derry Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not familiar with the SeaChem product Derek mentioned. However, I used BRS' two-part dosing kit for years to good effect. It's affordable and easy. Quote
stoneroller Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Use DI for mixing your Ca and ALK solutions. I use the BRS kits as well. Quote
