jestep
Everyone should check their homeowners insurance. Mine had an exclusion for fish tanks. So none of the damage was covered. I know that some companies offer special endorsements for fish tanks. You should call them back. They must have misunderstood and thought you said 'fish tank' when what you actually said was 'broken water line'. +1. That's what I heard. Most insurance I've seen will only consider small fish tanks if any at all. I think 100g is about the max unless the insurer has a mechanism for custom/additional coverage. At 300g we're nearly talking about flood insurance. I've had a slow leaking 55g FW tank and that was bad enough. 300g of water is horrifying even if you disregard the cost of replacing your fish and coral, both in money and personal attachment.
