don duncan
I got a great deal on this tank and could not pass it up. Broke down the 210 and set up the 280. 72x30x30, Deltec skimmer, reflow dart for return, reflow snapper for loop, ocean motion 4 way, and a monster sump. Took me 2 weeks to finish this up and I just finished the retro VHO attinics tonight. I still have some remounting to do. Lots of frags, check my post in for sale Here is a picture of the new reef tank..

Dena
NICE! YOu have got that thing packed! I'm getting one with the same dimensions, but the overflow is on the end so it's a peninsula style. It will take me a bit longer to get it set up though. Dena
What size pump is your return? I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to have to buy. What is the minimum you'd put on a tank this size?
Robb in Austin
member Dena, you just need enough to overcome the head height and provide enough turnover. the return should not be the main flow provider.
Brooks
That is beautiful! What is that large Tort? Oregon or Cali?!
acropoorer
Nice looking tank Don. Looks incredibly good for just being moved. Some people just have the touch...

Dena
My husband usually figures all that stuff out...I am literally clueless. I will also have a Wavebox on it for flow. It's drilled for closed loop and I may plumb for it, but I am going to have to wait even longer to get that running. That's why I want to save for a Wavebox first. I think Don should have a meeting so we can all check out the tank! member Dena, you just need enough to overcome the head height and provide enough turnover. the return should not be the main flow provider. don duncan
I think the dart is 3500 GPH. I had to cut it back though. Thanks Dale. It took 2 weeks of up til 4 in the morning. I might host a meeting in a few months, if there are any open.
