+mcallahan
leave him be. I have one that will park himself for 3 days and play dead. Then he starts moving again.
pbnj
They often park themselves in the same spot, immobile, for most of the day. If you were to look into your tank in the middle of the night with the lights off, I bet you would see that it moved.
+Lamont
+1 for letting him be! I had one that i thought was stuck or dead and move him to the other side of the tank and he found his way right back to the exact same spot.
barderer
he might be molting...3 days is a long time. I am going to go against the grain there. There is no harm in moving him so go for it.
+ACampbell
An overly active hermit, is a starving hermit. They are nocturnal, so seeing them move around a lot is not necessarily a good thing.
migs
+1 on leave him alone... I use to go in there and free him up because I thought he was stuck, but I later found they never get stuck and are usually molting or just parking themselves and were always able to get themselves out. labradorduck
"Luke, you must learn patience", line from some movie I saw as a kid. Anyhow, good advice, I let him be and wow, y'all were right! Since I got rid of the black crab the hermits have wondered the tank, but I only see them at lights out. Thanks again for reminding me that animals are smarter than I am and that I should just accept that fact.
