GKarshens
You need to get some dents on your car so I can get some frags. Some of us reef on a budget.
theresa
Your tank is awesome, I don't know if anyone else notice it or not but I love the heart the rock show at the top. I love the tank and loooove the dog too. Can I have the tank when you decide to move up to a larger one ?

GKarshens
So yesterday I went and got my fish and corals back from Kingfish where they were holding them for me. I also got some Astreas from Aquatek. I still need more cleaners but it's a start. I obviously have an algae outbreak which is to be expected with a hew setup. My biggest worry though is I have a Mystery Wrasse and a Rhomboid Wrasse. Neither fish is cheap and I wanted to keep them in the tank. So I built a quick solution. I got square wooden dowels from Home Depot for .95 each. I also got Bird netting for around $5. I used wood glue and a finishing nail gun I made a square frame I then used a glue gun to glue the netting to the frame. Here it is all put together I then used a couple "S" hooks to hang it. I still plan to paint the frame black and get a better mounting system. But, for now, it will keep my favorite fish from going tile surfing! GKarshens
Soon. I want to get the algae under control and get some 24" VHO Actinics on there first. No reason to brown out new frags.
polarbear
when you sat brown out frags, does this happen when you dont have enough Actinic lighting? sorry to hi jack but just wondering
GKarshens
That is one of many causes. But without enough blue light they tend to brown out.
polarbear
maybe thats whats wrong with my small SPS frag i got about 4 months ago. Its still brown but has polyps coming out. I only have 1 regular PC Actinic on the tank. Thanks
fishypets
All my stuff is brown. Maybe you could color it up for me and give it back when it looks good again?

fishypets
I used B.W. stones on my last stone exchange instead of the ZEOvit stones and it browned everything out, even my chalices. Good news is I turned off my ZEO reactor and things are looking better by the day.
