  1. Ok well, I got the pond foam and started working on filling in the gaps. This stuff really expands, it says 3 times the size of the bead you lay, well lets just say its more like 5-6 times. Anyways, I was planning on doing some cutting and shaping of the foam but it looks like ill be doing more trimming than i thought, It should be fully cured and dried tomorrow, still have the overflow wall to foam in but Im liking the way it looks, just gotta see it in your head with the sand over the foam, it should all blend really nice.

Tomorrow, i will go buy some pond foam and start filling in the cracks, then cut the zip ties and remove them. then comes the epoxy and the sand over the foam.

  3. you zip tie the dry rocks to eggcrate then fill in the spaces between the rock with pond foam, then you coat the foam in a 2 part epoxy to seal it and while thats wet sprinkle it with sand to cover the foam. its an idea I got from RC

  4. Just the one frag for now, as soon as the others open they will go up.

  5. Not trying to knock your tank, but do you have some aversion to going to one of the LFS here for livestock. It seems you could have already had some of the HA eaten up in the time your waiting for your CUC to be delivered. BTW i really like that overflow mod, I might have to try that on my 5 gallon

  6. As far as tanks go IMO its all preference. I plan on keeping a pair of ocellaris in my AOI 10 gallon that i constructed, as long as you keep up with cleaning and WC's you should be fine.

And as far as lighting goes, I would just pick up a Coralife 150w clip on and stick that on whatever you end up with, Great little light, I love mine.
