maxijet installed in the return hole, water tested and found no leaks, I plan on grabbing some eggcrate and dry rock this weekend and starting on my rock wall, Im thinking of doing it over the overflow wall and making a peninsula of rock since it would seem to go with the two open sides i have for viewing.

my showed growth in the three months i had it, and all the other corals i had bought were starting to crowd. Plus i have a piece to go in the new tank im building

LOL nano revolution is correct, im about to start getting all my old small fresh water tanks that are cluttering the garage and modding them. No desire for a bigger tank really, I have my 29 in the entry way and the smalls are going everywhere else.

thanks again, there are at least 10-12 happy polyps on each frag

@seahorse when the frags are ready ill post in the proper section, as of the lights being on for 2 hours they are all puffing up and looking pretty decent for the trauma they went through

Dok: I used a roto zip to cut my teeth but a hot butter knife would work, and im just mounting the MJ into my return hole, no tubing no bulkhead.
my girls box cutter from her all pink tools haha gotta love "tomboy tools"

So Ive been wanting a tank near my computer desk. so I decided to take cues from some stuff id seen online and Build a AOI Nano.
I cut 2 pieces of acrylic one was about 4 1\2"x81\2"(approx) to go from one of the side panes to my overflow wall.
The other piece (overflow wall) I cut to fit from front to back about 91\2"x11 1\2".
then I siliconed all my edges.
Overflow wall siliconed in.
From the front all panels siliconed in.
side(sump\fuge section) water will go from display> over overflow>through cheato and rubble rock>under partition and out through MJ900
From the top
I left myself almost 8 Gallons of display and im giving serious thought to doing a foam rock wall just for extra coral room.
Lighting is gonna be 96 watts of PC lighting 50/50
Flow courtesy of the maxi jet 900 that is my "return"
If I do the rock wall im thinking maybe 30lbs LR in the tank total but that is still to be decided.
Im gonna try and do all my tank painting tomorrow when the suns out and its a lil warmer. but I will be sure to keep everyone posted.
Thanks for looking
Chris

got back from profs, shoulda known i wouldnt leave without getting something new lol, the fragging went good, if i had a dremel id be more than ready to give it a shot on my pearl coral. came out with three pieces of bubble coral and as soon as my lights come on tomorrow ill post a pic, they are a lil pissed at the moment but i have faith in my tank and these corals
-
it has grown for me to where i need to lol
-
ok lemme rephrase, im taking to to profs and he is fragging, once i watch him, i should be confident enough to do it, and yes i plan on selling some frags of the bubble first then the pearl. and it was kinda to show off too lol

welcome to the club

i see we share thoughts mark haha, if its who i think it was, id rather have missed the show
-
that makes sense then, since it was a spot where a plug was glued in
-
a maxi jet would work too, anything thats submersible lol
-
thanks, this should make it alot easier than sifting through everything lol
-
thats just not a good way to look at buying a fish, you should be looking at the short term as well as the long term. that would be like your parents saying "well hes a lil big for the crib now, lets see if the neighbors wanna buy him"
-
I really need one to get my new tank up and running, lemme know what you got
-
LOL not concerned, I want more, it looks awesome
-
