I added a old carbon filter, that should jump start the cycle right?
I read it in a book just now that adding a old one should work.
-
yea, neither will I.
as far as lighting goes i have on the tank a:
48" T5HO 54w
1 x 18,000k
1 x Actinic
36" T5 21W
1 x 6,700K
1 x colormax
what do y'all think?
-
ok, every thing is out of the tank and in my 40 gallon tank. once the tank cycles i will put it all back.
-
I'll take them out in about a week or lees, just so that their is some build up on ammonia, for the cycle to start. that take them out and wait a week that put them back.
-
well i traded the wrasses for a yellow clown goby, that my girlfriend wanted and than bought 3 frags, a purple chalice with green mouths and some orange.
-
Gone
-
Well I did a good water change on all my tanks, and my girlfriend does not like the fish so yea, im going to trad him in for another fish.
-
You know I'm not sure I did 50% of the water from my old tanks and made new water.
-
Nope, no live rock, it's just going to be a frag tank.

Hello all, I'm starting a new tank and wanting to do a blog on what I'm doing each time I make a change to the fish tank. the tank is a 20 gallon long. the tank recently was a tank that had two pink skunk clowns in it, they have anew home, and I wanted to start a frag tank. so right now the tank as about one inch of sand in the bottom of the tank, I will build a frag rack to be placed with in the fish tank.
The lighting for the tank is going to be a T5-HO two bulb 54W 48" fixture.
time to add water and Make a frag rack!

Which anemones split, I know the BTAs split, I think seabays do but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

It's a filter that was in my bio cube that I moved to the 20 gallon. So it has plants growing on it, and copapods on it too.
