  1. Interesting since A.G.E. builds and recommends you use their own metal stands for larger tanks. A.G.E (who is a high quality custom tank builder in Houston) provides a 3 yr warranty if you use their metal stand, 1 yr warranty if you use a manufactured stand and no warranty if you use a DIY stand.
  2. Ridiculously orange red tentacles with a purplish blue center
  3. Awesome vid Mark! Very professional looking....where did you find an all white room? Do you still have a demo model...could rent it out to lift heavy tanks and stands
  4. They are very beautiful and worth the extra expense in my opinion. Here is a shot of mine with T5 actinics.
  5. If mine splits then I will let you know. If you are ever in Dallas then check with Mickey (see previous thread) He has lots and they are great quality
  6. I've already picked out names for my frags... I assume the head frags are prone to floating so I will call it "Bob" Tail pieces tend to sit on the bottom so I am calling it "matt"
  7. They are Rod's Reef Onyx Clownfish from Premium Aquatics. They are bred by the guy who makes Rod's Food which I also like. I really like these clowns because of their coloring...they are half orange and half onyx. Hope they notice soon.
  8. Check with Laura (Mama). She now runs Rockin' Reefs and is one of our sponsers
  9. I am brimming with happiness and thought I would share. Came home to find this... I had my first reef tank in 1994 and saw my first RBTA then. Long absence from hobby and was able to pick it up last year but have always wanted a RBTA with clowns. Tanks is now 6 months old and stable and after my patient waiting I decided it was time. Added a Sherman RBTA 2 days ago and was starting to get nervous as my pair of clowns acted like it did not exist. They are still young but have never shown any interest in hosting anything in my tank (frogspawn, torch, etc) I really became nervous after reading Zara's and others post about stupid clowns not wanting to host and anemone's moving all over the tank. So far I am blessed as I appear to have a happy RBTA and pair of clowns.
  10. Laura, You probably remember but I am a general surgeon as well as a wound specialist (though I have to admit I don't think I have ever seen a "marine" wound) I agree with Cindy's recommendations. Please give me a call if you have any questions or concerns. True palytoxin exposure is bad but you would know it if you had it...causes severe chest pain, trouble breathing. rapid heartrate and low blood pressure (feel light-headed) and is a medical emergency. 11. Mickey fed them silversides and mysis twice a week
  12. Mine appears to be very happy and staying put for the moment. Has already downed a half a silverside
  13. Here are a couple of photos of Mickey's tanks. He has 4 different groupings like this of RBTA in his 125 and 75
  14. If anyone else is interested in the Sherman variant RBTA then I highly recommend Mickey. Really nice guy and quality product. He has been raising them for 7 years and probably has over 30 in his 2 tanks (125 and 75g) He is located in Granbury, TX and can be reached via the DFWMAS.com site...Mickeyw43 He doesn't ship so you would have to go pick them up...2.5 hr drive from Round Rock but well worth it for me as this was exactly what I was looking for.
  15. You both are very welcome! It was a pleasure to meet you both. Mine is very happy as well. Already starting to bubble up after an hour in the tank. These things have an amazing fluorescent red coloration!
  16. I'm still in. Clint...that wouuld be great if you are willing to "wield the blade". I call dibs on the biggest piece.
  17. If you decide to frag the rainbow acans then mark me down for one.
