    Added a McCosker's flasher wrasse 36 hours ago, still alive. Just finished two batches of homemade cheese, both turned out. Today is a good day.

      That's terrible! Mine spent the first 24 hrs playing dead, floating right near the water surface. Now he's exploring the rock, no sign of aggression yet.

    Coast to coast (Calfo) overflow for the new 90gal is assembled, just waiting for the silicone to cure.

    Cyano will not go away. I followed every piece of advice I can find. Gonna break down and try the Red Slime Remover. Anybody have experience with this?

      I used it in my small tank to fight a persistent outbreak, and it worked really well, didn't seem to bother the tank inhabitants any.

    Considering changing my lighting setup. Tank is tripping the breaker....

      Check the breaker, also. I had one that tripped well below it's rating. Replaced it with a new breaker of the same rating, no more nuisance trips.

      Same here, actually, but it wasn't a private school, just a very, very small rural school. 3 people in my 7th grade, 5 in 8th.

    Um anyone else watching planet green where they just said conch snails are one of the most deadliest creatures in the world? One bite and you die?! WTF?!? I've just been picking mine up with my hand! Now I'm terrified!!!

      The really poisonous snails are the cone snails (genus Conus) rather than the conch snails (genus Strombus and similar). Even then, as Brooks said not all cone snails are venomous, and the really bad ones are very rarely found in the aquarium trade since they're venomous and predatory.

      I've done the same, any hobby store that carries R/C equipment should have compatible carbon rod.
