  1. Oh no, she was not too much trouble at all, and i was happy to see her through her recovery. I had to choose between catching her, or stressing the tang more. I knew she could take the move to a new tank easier. she is a beautiful girl. UPDATE on the tank. week 2 of the TLC SAT and i have almost NO algae. I also added carbon, and a phosban to a canister filter. will post pics tonight.
  2. hard to say . i had 60lbs of it in a 55gl for about 2 months, then moved to the 90gl, started to cycle some more, added 50lbs more rock, looks like it has started a bit of a cycle too. i have a canister set up with carbon, but i need to get some gfo. was going to try to get in on the BRS group buy, but i might be a little short on money. was thinking of asking if someone could spare some for $5-$10. and thx for the compliment. i had to change it up a bit. had to remove most of it to catch the banana wrasse, it was attacking the tang, and the poor scopas started to show signs of ick.
  3. it is kinda goofy, but you have to click on their name go to their profile and try to send from there. the window that comes up is not what we are used to, but it works
  4. well, i am having a similar problem, BUT, if you do happen to receive a PM, you can click on the green/white number and access it at least
  5. you mean a thumb drive? Like 8gb o so is usually $12-20 for one. 16gb would be just a little bit more. i would say Fry's for those for sure
  6. BAD dog....faced puffer. had to take him back to the LFS, he ate every single pally i had, including armor of gods, AND 90% of my zoas!

  13. after your replies, i looked em up. does not have a gasket, but i read you could easily find one at home depot etc. thnx guys. looks like that is the smallest i will find. i like the colors the tubing is available in. looks like i can finally color code drain and return lines differently. what is the diameter of the hole that is needed to be drilled?
  14. i could be in for some gfo, carbon, and maybe some other things.
  15. I am interested in making miniature "reef" tanks, say in the range of .25-5gl. was not sure if the term pico would really fit. I would like to plump them with sumps, but i have not seen a bulk head or comparable device for anything tubing smaller than 1/2". My question is: does anyone know of a "bulkhead", or equivalent, that i could use to drain water through a hole in glass, and connect tubing to?

  22. Anyone happen to have a replacement shaft for a quiet one 3000????

You can typically find something that will work at Hobby Town or other such. I broke in impeller shaft once and found some carbon rod that worked perfect.

I've done the same, any hobby store that carries R/C equipment should have compatible carbon rod.

the only thing i was worried about with that is, the shaft for a quite one is not round on one end
