  1. You run a in a very blue spectrum, so I don't think your issue is too much light. Is it in a high flow, or low flow area? Maybe it isn't getting ENOUGH light. You could try moving it up.
  2. You could try shading it, but it doesn't sound like you've got too much light.
  3. The success rate of fragging Fungia is very low. Make sure you've got all the facts before ya' frag!
  4. I voted 14k, but I've never had a 10k bulb. They're growth bulbs, though. They just give crappy color.
  5. Sure Laura. I hope the story got across a little though. I was hoping it'd make sense! <3
  6. Thanks Gabriel. I wouldn't ever dreamed of posting this, but I saw that you did it so it was a little inspiration of sorts.
  7. Hi everyone. We're currently studying poetry in my English class, and today, we had an assignment to write a poem about death. I could only think of one that related to me and my family, so I wrote it down. I'd like to keep from going into detail about the situation, but I thought this was pretty good and wanted to share it. Hope Her silent reverie cast a shadow on the town, She looked for smiles, but saw only frowns, Eleven hours old, not even a chance to live, Something that nobody could ever forgive. How could this happen to a woman so sweet? Once feeling joy, now feeling defeat. Hopeful parents of three little girls, Just had a death that shattered their worlds. Sitting in a hospital bed, silent in her grief, A heart filled with sorrow, sadness, disbelief. The end of despair being nowhere near; A mother's sadness, anger, and fear. Minutes feel like hours, days feel like years. Nothing was able to dry her tears. When sadness will end, she will never know, Because she could never let her little Hope go.
  8. Hah! Just watched the skimmer video. Good info! And the ending was pretty funny too haha "How you doin?!"
  9. Haha! How long do you plan to keep that fish trap in there?
  10. Kinda sad ... but on the other hand, kinda funny! No luck on that mean six-line, eh Mark?
  11. This is making me REALLY want a Sherman RBTA, but I'm too scared of it stinging all my other corals.
  12. 76-81 seems to be the most ideal temperature. Stability is key here, though. Try and adjust your heaters/thermostat in your house to keep your tank at a steady temperature, or as close as you can to steady.
  13. I've read that thing 3 times through. Best article on any coral I've ever read!
  14. +1 for talking to Clint. He knows just about everything to do with chalices!
  15. You'd need to cure it before putting it into your tank... or at least, I would.
  16. There are a TON varieties of Watermelon chalices, some rare, some not. If it has a name in front of it like Tyree, Pnoy, Fragfarmer, Meng, then it is usually really sought after by collectors. As far as lineage goes, I'd say that only comes in to play when you have one of the "Limited Edition" chalices, or you're just really interested to know where the piece came from. Seems like a good deal. If that company has a good reputation, I'd go for it.
  17. They look like the invasive Mojano Anemones to me.
  18. People catch Anemones down there, I know that!
  19. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have an aquarium... or video camera!
  20. Just started to drip acclimate the corals. The Golden Fleece looks so purty! As well as my freebie, though I have no idea what it is! Thanks Will for doing the order and discount! And thanks to Mark, too!
  21. I'd like to see how much the Pohl's Xtra cost. Might be interested
