  1. Talking with Don Duncan he's had no luck getting rid of majano other than razor blade off glass and actually breaking the rock pieces off that they're attached to. Praying mine are just on the glass.
  2. I actually don't need one that's very big. Just something to get a few things off the sand and away from my diamond goby.
  3. I was gonna pick up a frag rack from them, but someone offered me the one they had in their garage.
  4. I'm also thinking that if it's just the two (gotta do some digging) and they're just on the glass a razor blade might take care of it. Now I just need a razor blade. Does RCA have those?
  5. hmm...may need to call Fishy Business and/or AquaTek...
  6. Nope. Usually it's the float that isn't turning off the water completely (exactly the scenario with a failed float switch in an RO container) There is a tube that is usually in the middle of the tank that is open on top that the water will run out of if it gets too high. Same concept as the overflow hole in a bathroom sink.
  7. Actually, toilet tank float switches fail all the time. Ever heard a running toilet that wouldn't quit? The thing with a toilet is that there's an overflow drain...which you'd be explicitly missing in your setup.
  8. Ugh...everyone online seems out of stock. Wonder if anyone local has it...
  9. Sorry, I got 'em yesterday. Thanks again Derry!
  10. I've been looking at the SB-600, but I think I am leaning towards the SB-800, someday. Since it allows for using it separately and linking with others.
  11. I think closer to what Dave posted, but I'm not at home right now so I can't look to compare.
  12. That's probably pretty close...so it seems they're definitely majano...fun. Gonna have to move some rock out of the way.
  13. I just noticed two anemone looking things on the back glass last night hidden behind some rock. They are very green and anemone looking. Nearly impossible to get a picture of. I may have to pull some rock to get to them. The larger of the two is 3/4-1" in diameter. The smaller is 1/2-3/4" in diameter...though that could be somewhat off because of the angle I have to look through the glass to see them. And I figure if I can barely see them, how many more are there?
  14. cool. But it would probably work better if it was in my tank.
  15. Odds are I'm in...I've managed to avoid the last few...but I'm weakening. Need to find a freaking frag rack before I add more stuff, though...
  16. We can't reach 11k...500 minutes with a 12 month rollover is 6k max...Only two active numbers, though. Every month we lose about 400 minutes of rollover...and add about 400 minutes of rollover.
  17. We use a decent number of minutes...it's just that most of our calls are to people on AT&T, or night and weekend minutes. heh
  18. But we never use our 500 minutes/month as it is...I think we've got 4300 rollover minutes...
  19. My back yard is small enough that it's cruel to put the dog in it.
  20. Overstocking and then fish growth is a great way to justify a larger tank to the wife though...hmm...
  21. I'm kinda curious if anyone has more of an answer to this one. Personally I've got: 2 Occalaris clowns dwarf angel yellow tang ping fairy margin wrasse diamond goby Not sure if I have room for more.
  22. 10 sounds high to me...I've got 6 in my 75g and I've been debating if I can get 1-2 more... I think some of it depends on what kind of fish, how large, and how large you expect them to get.
  23. new episode on right now...I missed the part on making large aquariums, but it repeats at 11 tonight. Set the DVR to record it.
