I may be interested ... Can the 4 holes in the bottom be sealed off in some way without fear of a leak in the future? I have no desire to run a closed loop or atleast I dont think I do.

Found another light under the bed:

Current usa 4 bulb T5 with moonlights and built-in timers. The bulbs need to be replaced and one of them is burned out. - $100

I am too lazy to read all 4 pages of that other thread but I will say that I have never been anything but happy with my PM skimmer and the support they have offered on the 2 occasions that I called them.

The stock hose barbs did not work for my application so I used these longer ones from home depot

Just keep in mind that $550 for tank and stand really isnt a bad price .... tanks are cheap, stands are expensive. It is not uncommon to spend as much or more on the stand than the tank.

Well the spots were gone this morning when the lights came on so who knows. The clowns dont really host anything since I moved back to the biocube and had to get rid of their LTA.

My two clowns both have some weird spots only on their white bands that they did not have yesterday. They seem to be acting ok ... one of them maybe breathing a little hard but I just cleaned the tank and did a water change so he could just be freaked out a little.

I got mine from intank. I think it was like 15 or 20 bucks and I figured I would spend more time and money than that trying to build my own.

I just tore down my 40g and am planning on selling everything over the next few weeks. The only thing I have that needs to go right now are 5 red mangroves. They are in a bucket and should be good for a few days. All of them have huge roots and three of them have already sprouted. I really don't know what they are worth but would like to get $20 or so for them or make me an offer.

I have a 40 gallon I was tearing down today but it is still up and running with nothing in it and It is running a 250w halide. If you need anything just let me know

I have a 36" 4 bulb t5 you can use. I don't know how old the bulbs are but your more than welcome to it.

I got my glass for my sump from binswanger in round rock. It was polished and was very cheap.

I am using a precision marine redline 150. It works well and is very well built. A little noisy but not to bad.

please stop everything you are doing and do some more research! Two tangs in a 30gal tank along with some clowns and two nems!!! I am way to tired to tell you everything that is wrong with that but please just stop and do some research before you do anything else and find a good home for those tangs as fast as you can.

Everyone says that but I have been dumping 5 gals a week for a little over a year with no I'll effects yet.

The orange stuff is just a diatom bloom and is completely normal for a new tank. It will go away over the next few weeks. The creatures you see are pods and they are a very good part of any healthy tank.
