So, I was able to get this one done today. I'm liking it so far but I think I need to add in a shelf or two. I just don't have the tools or the know how to make the necessary cuts.

All of this will be available after my other tank is set up, which will hopefully be by next weekend since RCA was out of power heads and I won't get them until Friday. I will not hold any items, so please either pay in full or provide a deposit. First come, first served. I can take payment by paypal if you can't pay me in person, but be sure to add 3% for the fees.

I would definitely not use all the same sand. Maybe take and use about 5lbs or so, but just make sure to mix it in with the new sand. I would wait on adding the fish (maybe trade them in for credit at RCA) and use new water. The live rock would be fine as long as it doesn't have an excess of algae or aptasia/mahano anemones. When adding the corals, just be sure to have the temp of the water at around the same temp as the tank they are in now and be sure to drip aclimate them slowly over the course of at least an hour. I am not an expert, but during my moves from tank to tank, this has always seemed to work for me.

I think I am going to see how two nanos do and later, maybe upgrade to a vortech as well. I got the tank in today and I am hoping to have the stand finished by Sunday. Do you all use the glass top? I've heard that having a glass top on the tank makes a big difference in the quality of light that is getting to the corals...

I was thinking of get two to three koralia nano's. Do you think that will be good enough for flow? I am planning on keeping acans, zoas, favia, and some other lps.

I am getting my new set up in today, so I am hoping to transfer everything over this weekend. If that is okay, just let me know and we'll work out the details. Also, it will probably come with some of the plumbing attached.

Some people have asked questions about the calcium reactor, so here is more info and pics.

Calcium Reactor is a Tunze 3174/3 and the CO2 tank is 10lbs with a JBJ Regulator. We never set this unit up, but we got the reactor from dapettit and the tank and regulator, we got from Jake at River City. The reactor is new and the tank and regulator are used but in good working order.

I really wouldn't consider it a mod, but I just added cheato to the middle chamber and clamped a daylight bulb on. Could snap a pic if you want.

Yeah, that would be great. Also, are you all using koralias for flow and how many of which one?

I tried searching for any other posting for mods that were made to the Solana but I didn't find anything. I've heard of a mod that makes the back area a refugium butI can't seem to find anything about it. If you have a Solana or know about this mod, please chime in. Thanks!

I ordered a Solana from River City and I am hopefully getting it in on Friday. I don't really like the stands that they make, so I didn't order one. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can use for a stand or if anyone would be willing to build one for me (with payment, of course). I'd like to get this tank up and running by next week, so any ideas would be appreciated!

Hello All,

I have a K4 that has been stored away and I just found it yesterday. Would like $25 for it. Also have a lawnmower blenny that needs a new home asap. I have him in my qt and there isn't enough algae in there. He is perfectly healthy and he is only in the qt because I sold the tank that he was in and I don't want to put him in my main tank. Would like $10 for him. If anyone is interested, make me an offer - I just want this stuff gone. Thanks!
