  2. Did you have any leveling required on your stand? My setup requires leveling on the back length (against wall) that is off by the thickness of credit card. Impossible to use shims and trying to get ideas on material to use to shim it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm using this link as inspiration for my mount. My objective was nothing hanging...the ceiling in the room are too tall and I don't want a shelf on the wall. I have no experience with metal work so I'm working with local sponsor to help build a steel frame that will attach to back of stand to mount the two fixtures yet offer a telescoping mount to detach for easy access to full tank top. http://www.salt-city.org/showthread.php?33906-Ocean-Revive-S026-dual-light-mount

  11. I have just around 100 lbs. Check out my breaking down 180 thread in the for sale.
  12. I agree, I usually get a small spike due to the same thing. I have even seen this before when I only filled up a glass to check the TDS with the handheld before I upgraded to the inline meter.
  13. That is good to hear. This has always been one of the fish on my want list but I'm a bit weary for my inverts + my tank is an open top and from what I've read wrasses are notorious for jumping.
  14. Hey, how is the fish working out? Has it gone for any livestock in the tank (snails, crabs, shrimp)?
  15. Still available if anyone is interested.
  16. It really depends on the fish you plan to keep. I have LumenBrights on my tank that are in a hanging rack over my 180 gallon. The top is completely open. I have had only one fish jump out and that was one that I later found out was notorious for jumping out. The other 18 fish of mine are fine with no issues. As long as the water quality is good, they seem to stay in it!
  17. Just FYI the Tunze 6085 isn't controllable with the Tunze controllers.
  18. I saw the Oceanic Illuminata at Aquatek. I had to take multiple looks at it. I also like the rimless look. The negatives though: it is too tall for my tastes and the width / depth is only 18". If it was at least 24", I think it would catch on quick. Also don't remember correctly, but I don't think it had the high clarity glass, but could of been wrong. Overall nice looking tank but would change the dimensions. I've never personally owned a glasscages tank but I've heard good things about them related to being solid. The only negatives I've heard is the silicone finish quality. I don't mind some extra silicone when it comes to gallons of water in my house! They also have great dimensions to pick from.
