  1. Just upgraded so don't need it anymore. Not looking for anything in particular so just let me know what you got. no sps unless they do good under t5, any shrooms, polyps or zoas would be cool. If cash probably 50 bucks or so.

    Thanks

  2. You can put me in for:

    Octopus Skimmer NW110 @ 149.95

    5 Nassarius snails @ 4.95

Hi Fin Red Banded Goby @ 49.95

    Paired with Red Banded

    Pistol Shrimp

    (Stonogobiops nematodes)

    Subtotal 204.85

    -10% -20.49

    Total 184.36

Does anyone have experience with pistol / goby pairs? I'm not totally sold on them.

  3. I've got a strap wrench or a pipe wrench, the pipe may rough up the unit though. I'm gonna be home in the evening today and tomorrow or all day friday if you wanna come by or I can possibly get it to you this weekend. I think o'reilys rents wrenches if theres one closer to you

  4. Currently fighting an algae problem and high phosphates so I'm giving away my fish so I can cut out feeding and just re cure the rock. The clown is very healthy and has great color, I don't need anything for him so free to a good home. When I get my tank back in good standing if you wanna throw me a mushroom or something that would be cool.

  5. I have a purple firefish that has been MIA for the last few weeks (since I added a ocellaris clown). He finally came out today and is looking pretty rough, his tail fin is tore up and the clown just won't leave him alone. Unfortunately I don't have a quarantine tank so if anyone would like to try and rehabilitate him I'd love to see him get the care he needs.

  6. Hello all,

I'm new to the site and the hobby, I have a new 55g tank (4mo) with a 20g sump. I have just made a very small box to fit in my sump that I want to use as a refugium. The box basically sits in the sump with a few holes drilled on each side for water flow. As the area is so small, would I benefit at all from adding sand or should I just throw in a little chaeto and let it float around? I don't have a deep sand bed in my tank so I thought it would be good to try and incorporate one, I fear however that only having such a small space to do it would really just end up being a headache and not worth the effort. Any input would be great :D

Also on a side note, does anyone use the culligan water machine from wal-mart? I've been using it for all my topoff and for mixing saltwater. I did a phosphate test and it read 0 but I still seem to be getting diatoms well after my initial cycle bloom. I only have one purple fire fish and feed 1/4 frozen cube of mysis shrimp a day so I don't think I'm putting excess nutrients in. Again any input would be appreciated. :D
