  1. Looks like it will be located south of 1431, east of Parmer Ln and west of Raley Rd. Main entrance will be on 1431.
  2. It will be located at the intersection of Toro Grand Blvd and 1431: http://www.schlitterbahn.com/news/press/releases/2010-cedarpark.htm
  3. Can't you just go to Lowes and get the right size tubing? Take a connector with you to make sure you get the correct size.

    Fear of Conch

The only conch I want to see is on a plate of conch fritters.
  5. That's how Aiptasia-X works. It comes with a hollow syringe and you just coat the aiptasia with it (looks like Elmers glue when it hits the water).
  6. Man, that really sucks Jake...sorry to hear that. Everyone, check the Reef Central classifieds too. Maybe we'll get lucky and the friggin' idiot who stole it will post if for sale on the ARC classifieds!
  7. It's a lot heavier and not very porous, but it works. Most people mix the holey rocks in with some real live rock.
  8. Keep the lighting to a minimum, otherwise you might get an algae outbreak.
  9. You could build your own reactor. You just need to make sure the water enters at the bottom and works its way up through the media. As far as rinsing frozen food, just put the frozen cubes in a little hand-held strainer and run it under the faucet until all the ice is dissolved.
  10. Unless you plan on drying out your rocks, just "cleaning" them probably won't have the effect you desire. I think it's more importatnt that you try and find the source of your algae, otherwise you'll eventually end up right where you are now. One thing is certain: you have a source of excessive nutrients that is feeding the algae. Have you tried vacuuming your sandbed? A 4-yr-old sandbed that has never been cleaned could contain some nasty stuff. It might be the source of your phosphates, which in turn is the source of your algae problem. Personally, I don't vacuum my sandbed, but I do stir up small sections of it right before I do a water change. I battled some bryopsis not too long ago. I siphoned out all I could and did some constant water changes for a 2-week period (5g water changes on a 75g every 2 days for two weeks). Took care of it. I read that someone blasted their bryopsis with boiling RO water and that seemed to kill it. Don't know if that truly works, but even if it does, you'd have to be careful about nearby corals. Avoid overfeeding your fish, especially with flake foods. A phosphate reactor is a good investment, but it is another expense.
  11. I was looking into a calcium reactor, but after some research, I realized they still require some dialing-in to get the levels right, so I'm just going with some dosing pumps and 2-part solution.

    New Filter

I wouldn't use one of these on a reef. They just build up nitrates if not maintained properly. Take the $250-$300 you were going to spend on this and put it towards a good protein skimmer.
  13. My friend and I took an open-water beginner's dive class in Hawaii while our certified diver friends went off exploring. We did so well that the instructor let us dive down 30ft with them afterwards....probably a no-no on his part, but we had a blast.
  14. She only took two bites, so she was safe.
  15. Took my wife and son there this morning. My son and I had the Don Juan breakfast tacos....pretty good, but not phenomenal (although the $ value is amazing). Seemed like the whole restaurant was ordering them though. My wife was not pleased. She got the beef fajitas and they were not very good. She absolutley loves Mesa Rosa's fajitas and was not pleased we drove 30 minutes and waited on line outside for another 15 minutes, when we could have gone down the street to Mesa Rosa. I'd stop in again if I was ever in the area, but I won't go out of my way again. By the way, the new record is 9 Don Juan's (someone ate 8.5).
  16. Thanks, guys. Just found these also: http://www.x1up.com/.sc/ms/dd/Power%20Strips--Multi%20Switched/181/EPS-2069MBL%20--%202%27%206%20Individually%20Switched%20Outlet%20Power%20Strip http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=533-7196&desc=UL209BC&R=533%2D7196&sid=453AB4805380617F http://www.hammondmfg.com/1580.htm
  17. Do they sell powerstrips that have individual switches, but also have the sockets and switches on the same side? American DJ powerstrips have the switches, but everything plugs in through the back.
  18. In the last picture, what's the price of the Blasto-looking coral behind the Zoa and below the snail?
  19. Prey tell, what's the deal with the Fajitas?
  20. Isn't a 55g kinda narrow, i.e., will an 8-bulb fixture even fit?
  21. I was watching Man vs Food last night and saw this place. Anyone ever eat there? How is it?
  22. Yep. It's only cranked up about 33%. I bought it for my 240g and tested it out in my 75g. It's so cool, I left it in.
  23. In my 75g, I have two Koralia #4s, a Mag18 return pump (goes through chiller first), and a Tunze Wavebox.
