  1. Your selling the tank again? Was hoping it was a keeper for you.
  2. There were 12 tanks on the tour. They were in all stages. From new to established for several years. FOWLR to reef. Definitely something for everyone.
  3. I survived the San Antonio Tank tour MAAST put on yesterday. Left the house at 8:00 AM and did not make it back until midnight (I stayed later than the tour to hang out and talk a while) Was a great time all around. Around April / May, the tour should make it's way to Austin. I cannot wait to show my tank. Hope y'all can stop by. Here are some pictures from the trip....
  4. I've got quite a few empty turbo astrea shells if you need some empty shells for hermits.
  5. I've got 2 bulbs that I keep for an emergency that you are welcome to borrow. Assuming you need them to test with.
  6. I use a Reef Fanatic ATO and AquaLifter with my Kalk Reactor. Works well.

    Controller

With how quickly things fluxuate on a small system, it would sure help keep it more stable. You Neeeed one

    Controller

I use an Aquacontroller III. A good investment for a large tank and imo worth every penny. It has saved me many times from the tank overheating due to lights, etc. Everything runs much more stable. In what I would have spent on single timers, temperature probes, as well as pH controllers/monitors - the cost is not that unreasonable. And the great thing about it is I can monitor the system from remote if I am away on vacation.
  12. It depends on the lens. Some have shorter minimum focus distances than others. There are 3 options. 1. move farther from the subject. 2. get a dedicated macro lens. 3. use extension tubes. Getting a macro lens will be the most expensive solution but will give the best result. Extension tubes move the focal point closer to the camera but at a cost - lens speed.
  13. Check it out..... National Geographic Article - Fish Farts As Method of Communication
  14. Is it a reef ready tank or are you using an overflow with a U-tube?
  15. LE Tyree Bali Tricolor: This is the mother colony from Alicia/Slojmn on Reef Central. I picked up a frag from her of this one..... hope it grows up to be nice like hers.
  16. Subordo: Scleraxonia Familia: Briareidae Genera: Briareum - Lignopsis
  17. Erythropodium caribaeorum
  18. I would change out the 175w metal halides for 250w. Also make sure any glass covers / center braces are clear.
  19. It is an encrusting gorgonian. I have some in my tank. Keep it on an island to itself or it will spread like wildfire.
