  1. ORA German Blue Digitata

The coral has browned out on me - had moved it from my frag tank where it was not colored up and it just now starting to regain color in the polyps. It has always been slow to color but once it does, it is really a nice piece.

Should look similar to this one I found on the web....

  3. I have 3 colonies of Cali Tort for sale. These have been growing in my tank as extras from past coral purchases for quite a while. Each colony has multiple branches (at least 6-7). They are fully encrusted on their plugs.

I need to make room. They are currently located in the bottom of my tank so pardon them not being fully colored up....

Cali Tort - $75 each (OBO)

  4. I survived the San Antonio Tank tour MAAST put on yesterday. Left the house at 8:00 AM and did not make it back until midnight (I stayed later than the tour to hang out and talk a while) :)

Was a great time all around. Around April / May, the tour should make it's way to Austin. I cannot wait to show my tank. Hope y'all can stop by.

Here are some pictures from the trip....

  5. I use an Aquacontroller III. A good investment for a large tank and imo worth every penny. It has saved me many times from the tank overheating due to lights, etc. Everything runs much more stable. In what I would have spent on single timers, temperature probes, as well as pH controllers/monitors - the cost is not that unreasonable. And the great thing about it is I can monitor the system from remote if I am away on vacation.

  6. I have a 70-300 mm i believe but im having trouble getting some of the real close shots ive seen. Im trying to get in on the polyps on my sps but no luck. Is this lens good or do i need something higher? Im still new to the photography thing so forgive for the very vague refrences

It depends on the lens. Some have shorter minimum focus distances than others. There are 3 options. 1. move farther from the subject. 2. get a dedicated macro lens. 3. use extension tubes.

Getting a macro lens will be the most expensive solution but will give the best result. Extension tubes move the focal point closer to the camera but at a cost - lens speed.

  7. Did they report the incident to the police?

I checked Craigslist and did not see anything that matched.... but did see the Lost add. May want to also add it to the Pets section too for better coverage.

PawMatch recovered my sister's dog a few weeks back. Her dog managed to get off the leash on a walk and is a runner.

PetFinder.org is also a good website for rescue groups that may have recovered his dog.

Best wishes on finding the pup soon!
