I'm running a MAG 7 on my 58 gallon. Plenty of flow although a little on the hummy side. Most overflow boxes are rated @ 650gph for a single U-Tube. With head pressure loss in a sump, it works perfect for my setup - very few bends. I've got (2) Koralia 2 in the tank.
I've use MAG pumps both internally and externally with no problems leaking.

i know that anything made in 2007 is not good to use anymore
What is up with what was made in 2007?

Cinderblocks make for a great base for stands. Here is a few pictures of a past stand I built for a 90 gallon 48x18 footprint tank. It was made with plywood, shoe moulding, cinderblocks, 1x4 for the trim and wainsoating as a skin over the cinderblocks. The shoe moulding was nailed to the plywood to give the wainscoating something to attach too. The 1x4 was nailed to the outside edge of the plywood for trim. I painted everything black first as it made it easier to work with. Touch-up painting was all that was needed.

Can't wait to see the final tank pics. All those equipment will make a larger tank happy too, lol.

The canopy will be open in the back and on top. Do you think I will have heat issues with the halides? It will be open top as well (at least for now).
