I have also moved rock because .... It usually is not good. I don't see any visions. Maybe zen meditation would help. Are there interior designers for reefs? If so, I would probably need one.

Thanks everyone for all the info. Very helpful.

Interested. PM sent.

Nice photos of some of your great collection.

What do you feed the anemone and how often?
-
I just got an ocellaris clown. What type of anemone would be good for it? Which are easiest to keep? Would a bubble tip anemone work? I have never owned an anemone. Any information or suggestions would help.

Dimensions and what pumps they are should also help.

Looks good. I like the Undata.

I have a masters degree and work at the University of Texas in the Institute for Cellular and Molecular Biology. I agree that you should find the field you are interested in and then find a professor with money and an interesting project. It important the skills/techniques you learn not just the interesting research. Also the personality of the professor.

Did BRS say they were going to carry the media for CO2 scrubbing? I looked at their site and did not find it. If you order I would be interested.

I was worried for you when I first read. I am glad I have not had a dream like that.
Although, when I was doing fresh water I did wake up to a 140 gal where about 40 gal had leaked out on the floor from a leak that was not there when we went to bed. Luckily we have tile floor. Still it took us a couple of hours to get the all over the living room floor.
The good part is that is when I decided to switch to salt water. Ben loving the adventure ever since.

Looks nice. Do you have other flow than the Mag12?
-
Yeah, what muddybluewater said. I have been using 2 part from BRS for about a year and cost is low. The carbon and gfo are also good and cost effective. It is the most recommended 2 part I have seen on reefcentral.

Clint that sounds like a great plan. I was hoping to get an answer from you. Here is what I did.

I am using the same fixture just new bulbs after 12 months of usage. There are 2 actinic, 2 at 6,500, 4 at 12,000, 2 at 20,000. 54 w each on a 30 inch wide aquarium. The light fixture is hanging from the ceiling and can be raised and lowered. Normally at 8" above the water.

I am doing my first install of new t5 bulbs and not sure of how to bestproceed. I know I have to be careful so not to burn the coral. I have10 bulbs and was wondering if I should put them all them in or to putthem in slowly. All suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear the loss of the barnacle. I hop your hammer will make it.

I don't think so Mama but good try.

Well I did go to one of the local stores and they did not have a loaner fish trap. They did not think they worked. I did end up buying a bigger net at only $4. My wife and I caught the fish without tearing apart the tank. We did it with 3 nets and a scraper and only 10 minutes. I feel we were very lucky.
The flame angel is in the sump awaiting departure.

I had a urchin like in the picture that did that. It was right after I had my first saltwater aquarium and it worried me. It never caused any harm. At the time I did not have corals and did not think about the free food for corals.
