Did you buy a hippo tang? I am downgrading and will want to sell mine. Had him for about 2 years and is probably 3+ inches. Have not added any fish in about a year.

I have one that I was going to sell that was used as a sump. Has one set of baffles.

Very nice. Is that a Makers heat sink?

Thanks all.
Wished I had asked about the loc-line. It was expensive, but what isn't in the hobby.

I won this AGE 90 gal from The Fish Gallery at C4. . THANKS
This is my first build from scratch. Will need help.
It has polypropylene bottom, dark back glass back, center overflow, 2 holes for 1 inch bulkhead, and 1 hole for 3/4 bulkhead, euro braced 36x24x25"h.
Ordered bulkheads, lock line and other plumbing items from Bulk Reef Supply.
Planning on trying Herbie drain system.
Just starting to build the stand.

Has anyone used the Herbie method? Is there any problems with it?

Durso is it Hugh?

It is an internal overflow and the stand will be about 36" high.

I just got a new AGE 26 x 24 x24" aquarium that has an overflow in the middle with 3 holes. I measured the holes as 2 @ 1.75" and 1 @ 1.375", as best I can measure. I am not sure the best way to plumb these and would like help. It seems that I should use 1 inch bulkheads for 2 drains and a 3/4 bulkhead for the return. The overflow looks like it has 2 cutouts that would be used to have the return split into 2 outlets.
Questions:
1. Is it best to use bulkheads with threads or no threads?
2. How do I plumb the drains so they will be the quietest?
3. How do I plumb the returns?
4. How much flow could I do through the drains?
5. Have I asked all that I would need to know? Thanks!

I too am interested in a metal stand. I will contact him.

Thanks for all the answers.
@mFrame - I have thought of doing that. Is the pump outside the 5 gal square containers? If so, would a maxijet work?

I keep my topoff water in the stand. It is hard to access and get water in. I have to pull it out to get the water in. Do you have another way to get the water in the reservoir without spilling?

What equipment does it take to make your own sump? How do you get the edges smooth enough to make the seems?
