I like the outlet up high like that, especially w/ as high end and clean as everything else w/ that tank is.  Dangling cords would definitely look out of place.

This is the 2nd DSA 105 for sale on ARC in the past year where I wish I had the cash to make it happen.    GLWS Ross!

On the macroalgae topic....anyone have something other than chaeto they'd like to share?  

Nutrients have been 0 or very close whenever I have tested recently.  I do have a carbon/GFO reactor running, but I am afraid to turn it off because the microalgae in the tank goes nuts.

Here's what it looked like when I had a big bunch in there.  It wasn't growing at all and faded to lighter green, so I pulled it out, leaving only the richer green chunk in the newer pics - but that hasn't shown any sign of growth over the last 60ish days either.

Dang - just noticed this thread and I definitely need to follow along.  Same issues as Flux - my chaeto simply doesn't grow.

Anyone else w/ experience using this light?  I bought it because of how compact it is and I don't have a lot of room.  Don't think I could get one of those bulbs Mike posted above the tank, but might be able to find a way to the backside of the fuge, similar to where the current light is.

I can.  The issue is reading threads where everyone quotes instead of just replying, and it turns every post into a repost of the entire thread.

2 - My guess is there's a back-end way to limit those in the admin control panel.  Would save a lot of sprained fingers from all the scrolling when trying to read a Ty or Juicy thread.  

Just so my request is clear, I'm not advocating killing multi-quote, which is including multiple, separate quotes in a reply.  I'm looking for a default that only includes the most recent reply as the quote in the next reply - no more spiderweb effect w/ 10 posts of conversation included.

This tank will be yuge.  The yugest tank build going on ARC.  You'll see how yuge it is right here in this thread and the thread will be yuge too, just wait and see!

:16 Monti?  Seems dead.  Was on the backside in a slightly shaded area and never grew.  Put it out front a while back and haven't seen any signs of life.

:25 Digitata...Started out as a cool 3 branch piece from Reburn, but I've managed to break 2 pieces off.  1st attempt to superglue a broken arm to the rock didn't go well, so I'm going to try again next week when I do a water change and can drop the water level below where I want to glue.

:53 hair algae I'm currently fighting.  Can't keep a sea hare alive long enough to finish that off, and my export/phosphate issues aren't cleared up (obviously).  Currently fighting w/ physical removal by way of forceps.

:60 not at all happy fluffy fuzzy mushroom, surrounded by Superman mushrooms.  All the fuzzy's used to back in that little corner in between where they are now, but a couple walked up, and a couple walked out.  The ones that walked out got surrounded by Supermans and are obviously hating life.  I've tried a little bit to get them to let go and relocate, but no luck so far.  Suggestions on encouraging them to move?

1:19 those shrooms loved it up there for a while, then nuked out.  Bleached out and trying to move.  Too many crevices for me to help relocate.

1:33 Tyree Undata (pretty sure?)  Growth seems to have slowed, but the idea is that it encrusts that whole side of the cave.

1:45 Brain coral from ARC fragging meeting.  Not sure what's going on here, but doesn't look happy and haven't seen sweeper tentacles in a while.  Had a bit of healing growth over the bony structure, but seems to have gone downhill the last couple of months?

1:48 Duncans are closed here, but usually out and happy.

1:50 Blue Mille has been happy and growing like a champ since I got it.

You have to upload it to youtube or vimeo first, then c/p that link here.  It's not going to embed from your phone/computer.

Just paste the link and it embeds on it's own - pics too.  Easily my favorite parts of the upgrade!
