  2. I have some of these...they are AWESOME!!!! Great price. BTW...frags have been delivered to Austin for pick up and are in my possession.
  3. The tree looking thing is a Kenya tree. They are famous for fragging themselves and multiply like crazy. Not sure about the snail, but I'm sure that someone will respond regarding that. The old shell from a molting shrimp can be taken out if it's easy to get to, otherwise...it won't hurt anything if you leave it in there.
  4. Cyrus...bet mine is bigger. lol Innate...forget those auctions. More money to buy ours.
  5. So if anyone wants any, go to aquasd and they will give them to you for free. However, we did not get ours from Aquasd and they were far from free.
  6. I had to pay a premium price just these and would like to recoup some of the money I paid. Will hold with Paypal payment. $20 per polyp
  7. Have a great time. Post plenty of pics!!!

Funny I got a one inch frag of the same about 8 months ago and it's just now 3/4 inch. It grows slower than the Tyree Purple Monster.

You lost a 1/4 inch? If mine did that, all I would have left is the plug. lol

  9. I'd take JimD up on his offer. We took our regular rods with us and did fine. My son caught some kinda cool looking fish on St. Jo's Island (see the Port A thread) that he had a great fight with on that light tackle. He had a blast. The place where you catch the ferry sells the weights and hooks as well as bait you need. Y'all will have a blast. My son is a rock hound too with his sister following close behind. To say the least, we brought back a TON of shells, including sand dollars. I still want to go to the other side of St. Jo's. Way too far for most folks to walk. Bet that area is awsome.
  10. Find a net that can catch shrimp and has a long handle. Go almost all the way to the end of the jetti. Look between the boulders where the water is (at night) and you should have no problems seeing the beady red eyes of the peps. Take you're net, put it as far down under the peps as you can and bring the net up along the rock. Even if you don't see anything but seaweed on the rock, chances are you will net some peps you couldn't see. You are also going to catch blennies, Sgt. Major damsels, anglers, and maybe even a file fish. Just make sure you have a current Texas saltwater fishing license. If you have time, make sure you hit St. Jo's Island. Beautiful beaches including sandollars and awsome shells. Nice blue crabs out there so watch your feet. There are no bathrooms on the island, no stores either. Nothing but a small jetty and a small boat dock for the ferry. You can only walk on the island so keep that in mind if you go. No roads, no cars, etc. Nice place to fish too. If you want to know anything else, just let me know. Have a great time. Chad
  11. Knock another chip in it and I might have enough money to buy it. LOL Free bump
  12. Sweet!!! If I had the $$$, it would be sold by now.
  13. I've seen a few at the LFS. However, I usually see the maroon linkias. I've never had good luck with the blues and a lot of reef sites will say they are hard to keep. It is a beautiful star. I would suggest calling some of the LFS and see if one they order one for you. It's easy for them to add it to their weekly orders. Jake at RCA is great to work with. So is Shane at Fishy Business. Both are in north Austin and close together. Chad
  14. Guess we now know why he was in the jar in the 1st place. LOL A few months back, we were given the largest maroon clown I have ever seen in my life. Actually, it was a package deal. The 1st thing I did was put him in the sump and put a for sale thread on ARC and MAAST. Thankfully, he went fast. The new owner was an experienced reefer so he knew what he was getting. Beautiful fish, bad attitude. Like you, we learned the hard way about maroons along time ago.
  15. It's a Vlamangi...sure does look purdy in my tank...LOL
