  1. I agree with Russell. With the new rock work and new surroundings, they should be perfectly fine in the 280. I would even try to put all your tangs in at around the same time.
  2. Don, Put us down for a bucket of Coralife. Chad
  3. Glad to hear you guys had a great time!! We can't wait to head to SA for the frag swap and to visit some of the LFS there again.
  4. Welcome James. My husband and I are MAAST members also. Check Aquatek and Fishy Business.
  5. 1 MP40 in a 34 gallon. Flow is good to go. lol I'll double check the levels. Flow is good. Lights are on for 6 hours per day. All we have are T-5's now but I'm going to do a black out and cut the lighting back a bit after that. We have drastically cut back on the feeding but only after these issues came about. Guess I need to keep doing water changes to "clean out" the water. We are still using the MP 40. I have it on wave motion. I think because the Solana is packed a lot more than it should be, combined with over feeding and some of the crashes we have had I think we need to get in there and clean the sand and rock of detritus. Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I'm going to try out the suggestions and see how it goes.
  6. We've had this red stuff in our solana for the last month or so. We thought it was red slime, so we used the red slime remover and it didn't do anything (it works really good when we've had red slime in the past). We keep doing weekly water changes and can't seem to get rid of it. It gets all over everything and I keep using a turkey baster to get this stuff off my corals and a few hours later, its all over everything again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  8. I am posting this for our 9 year old son. I recently lost my Uncle Mario because of heart disease. Our son C.J. is trying to raise money to help fight heart disease, can you help? Hi! My name is C.J., my Great Uncle Mario of Bastrop passed away on January 20, 2011 because of heart disease. I am on a mission to raise money to help fight heart disease. Will you help me help others? Below is a link to his personal website. Your help is greatly appreciated!: I'm joining millions of other kids to help save lives with the American Heart Association's Jump Rope For Heart Program! Will you help me? I'm doing Jump Rope For Heart at my school and learning about kids with special hearts. I'm also learning about my own heart, and how to take care of it. And I'm getting active and jumping rope! Some kids have special hearts – and need our help! I'm raising money to help kids like them. The money I raise will help pay for education and for new medicines and treatments to be discovered. It could help cure heart disease for everybody! You can help too! Will you make a donation? It's fast and easy to do on my personal Web page! My deadline is February 24, 2011. Just use the link below. http://honor.america....&s_tafId=91449 Thank you for helping me save lives and be a Heart Hero! 9. Nice TV, has a great picture...well worth the price. Dena...is that Thunder in the background?
  10. This is a very good idea. Just don't wait too long. I did this once with 2 tangs. I introduced our new purple tang into the tank with our yellow tang. The yellow tang almost killed him before I got the yellow out. I put the yellow in another tank for a week or so. When I put him back, the purple tang almost killed him. If your lucky enough to get him out, try not to let it go for more than a few days. Good luck.
  11. I have to say that I LOVE this hobby as much as Chad does. Since joining ARC and MAAST, we have met some amazing people and have made some life long friends. It may also help if the two of you hang out with some of the people you've met here on ARC, or have her attend a meeting with you. We have met some great guys in the chat room and are proud to call them our friends! We've also met with their families and have really enjoyed their company. There are also two different couples, one on ARC and one from MAAST that we have become really close with. We meet every other weekend for dinner and a movie. It's nice to be able to get together and enjoy time out and not talk about fish stuff, but then there are times that we all sit around and talk tanks. Just my two cents worth.
