There are a lot of places that you can rent that are pet friendly. Not sure where others are staying, but we rented a house that we are sharing with two other couples. You may want to leave them in your room when we go collecting as it would probably be hard to collect and watch them at the same time. Its a long walk and there are some big gaps between the rocks. Totally your call though We have really enjoyed our trips to Port A and can't wait to go again this year. For those of you thinking about going, you may want to go ahead and start looking into finding a place to stay. They are having a fishing tournament in Port A the same weekend and places to stay are filling up fast.

We finally picked up our 144 half circle aquarium Thank you Jose, Mizeny, Chris, Calvin and Laura for your help and patience in getting it set up! Jose and Chad managed to get all the plumbing setup and we are currently filling it up with RO water for the leak test and clean up. Once it's clean, then we will add our mixture of black and white sand and fill it up with saltwater. More pics to come.

Not sure how old this fixture is and it is not a name brand fixture. I believe that Doma's (a.k.a. Bay) cousin made this fixture. I will post a picture soon. It does look like a professional light.

It looks as though MAAST will be hosting their collection trip on the same weekend. I'm sure Ace will be posting more details as we get closer. It should be a blast! All are welcome to attend.

Awesome! People can camp out on the beach, however, we stayed in a hotel

We walked out to the end of the jetty and took nets (with the small holes) and head lamps. When you shine the flashlight into the water, you can see the peppermint shrimps red eyes glowing. They like to hang out around the edge of the rocks. It was pretty fun

Peppermint shrimp, blennies, anglers, you can also catch damsels, though we threw those back in...someone also caught an urchin.

We had such a great time on our Port A trip collection trip last year that we figured we'd do it again this year. Right now we are looking at the weekend of July 15th. I know that MAAST usually has their collection trip in July, but with Chad's work schedule and his co-workers taking vacation, we figured we'd plan for this weekend. Nothing fancy, just a bunch of friends hanging out and having fun. Anyone is welcome to join us...the more the merrier If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please post here.
