ask ACROPORA (Dale) about dosing pumps....he said that he spent all the money for them and hates it, feels his reactor was WAY better. I agree. But to each his own. I have always ran a reactor with NO issues.

what about COPPER, did anything go hay wire lately (pump,Cord, etc). another person here had the same experience but i dont know they ever truly found the answer, they thought that it may be toxins released fron zoas but not forsure.

Why would you want all the stress of knowing what the H*LL is going on with ur tank while at work? Work is stressful enough OH then something goes wrong with the TANK and u have to try and rush home BUT OOOOPPPPSSSS BAMMM BOOOMMCRASHHHH you accidently run a stop sign and get killed tryn to get home to ur tank. Weigh the options LIFE/TANK... Defntly gonna be life for me. All kiding aside im just playn with ya. Thats why i never got the internet for my controller, i dont wanna try n figure it out and i deal with to much stress at work to have to care about what my tank is doing while im gone. You must be forgetting about my 2x250's I have over my 90g...!! My thought will be to measure PAR ratings and place some SPS frags in similar PAR areas to the MH. That way we can try to level the playing field as much as possible. I thought that you had 2x400MH? When was the switch or was i just mistaken? Interesting to see what happens, i had some donor frags if needed. Was contemplating switching to 250w MH to save energy and heat. Just dont know.

i have a green coris wrasse and he picks anything and everythng that moves on the rock and sandbed, i move a coral off the sand bed the other day and he went to town where it was at and made a dust storm of the sand underneath it. i had a mystery wrasse also but all he would eat is pods and mysis.

you could try a wrasse, i personally havent had a flatworms but i know my wrasse picks at everything on the rocks that moves (ie PODS etc). Maybe it would work for them also.

i didnt spray the base and clear, but was in the booth during the process, its been 6yrs since ive painted and didnt wanna mess it up. I put probably 20-30hrs of body work and prep work into it and realy wanted it to turn out nice. WARRANTY...no, but it did cost a pretty penny. And the answer to the other question "is he gonna ride it" YES, i will be a little heart broken at the sight of the 1st scratch but its a toy that i gave to him so that he could enjoy a REAL toy from the day. I want nothing more than him to play and have fun and my wife and I be able to take pictures of him doing it. Thank you all for looking.

outta sump 2.5', into chiller then back 2.5' and up 6' so i figured its having to push water atleast at a value of 8'

ya thats Y i thought that running just a single pump external will help, i have the mag9 (4' head) turnd down and mag12 (8' head) wide open threw chiller.

Plumbing it isnt a biggie,PVC already there just moving fittings, ill look at Tunze or others, Eheim doesnt show one big enough to match my current flow. @NONSEQUITIR im not wanting to gain any flow. Just mount 1 pump external to save heat and power. Dont wanna have to turn down a SNAPPER cause it just adds load an heat.

so i was thinking about a project B4 summer gets here to maybe relieve some heat on the chiller, I currently have a mag9 and mag12 in-sump for returns. I was thinking that by eliminating the pumps from the sump and mounting 1 pump external it would help on heat therefore helping the chiller out as well. What pump (1) would yall use in place of the 2 i have? MAG18,Quieteone6000, or another? Also it would save a little power to help out on the electric bill

GFO will affect them, colors will turn pale. if they respond cut the amount you use down. I have done this in the last few weeks and my shortcakes green is gettn alot better. Some say GFO shld be run every once and awhile, i dont know yet.

so far XM has been more consistant for me than reeflux. I think that ill just stick with them. Did you find anything out DON?
