  1. i have a 120, lookn bigger. Thanks for the idea.
  2. I understand your frustration, it seems 1 out of 10 units work properly. I have the LITE and have had no problems, but all i use it for is a "glorified light timer". I never felt confident enough to try and controlle the chiller or CA reactor. It runs all the lights and fans (not with the temp probe) but by the timing of certain lights. I guess you coud say i dont trust its PH and TEMP probes. Other than that i like it cause i dont have to have a bunch of old fashioned wheel timers. Also they offered me an update but found that everyone was having problems with it so i NEVER have updated it, it still has the factory set-up in it. I like keepn it SIMPLE, lights ON at this time-lights off at this time, same for the fans. When T5s come on so does one set of fans, When MH come on so does another set of fans. Now if i could just wire my exhaust fan on chiller to only come on when the chiller is on i would be set, thats another project.
  3. ok so R/I (remove and install) door handle, belt mldg, mirror, trim panel, rear bumper, taillight, and 1/4 glass. Repair door and paint, blend 1/4 panel. Its gonna be over $500. Insurance would probly be best bet, and if it happened in a parking lot it slhd go on comp insurance so it shldnt effect your rates. I am just a technician so dont hold that to me if i am wrong but...The shop i work at may be expensive but QUALITY is job #1. Classic Body Shop is ok as well. In the end its your choice.
  4. cool, i need to buy me one of those there meters. Now im curious how my reflector is working. What did your #s look like?
  5. Berlis Body & Fine Auto Finishes. The claim on theft doesnt go against your policy realy, its a comp claim, if this is a collision then it does but wont raise your rates. How much damage? What year, make, model? pretty much if it need a bumper, possible headlight and maybe some repair ro the fender then its gonna be over your $500 deductable.
  6. so it depends on if your going threw your insurance or paying outta pocket, if you dont use the place i work at, Classic Bodyshop(round rock honda) or B&B on 35N are good. Caliber on Commerce in Round Rock is ok as well.
  7. ya i no about the new ones, lookn used. Thnks PBNJ. Ive looked at MIRACLES,COAST to COAST,LEEMAR and some others. May build one if i can get ahold of DALE and ask him about how he did it.
  8. looking into maybe a new tank 48Lx36Wx24T or 60Lx30Wx24T anyone know where one could be had?
  9. i wish there prices would reflect how the economy has went down, still to high for my blood. Do they ever buy colonies Mark?
  10. so this quote will probly be taken the wrong way BUT...call me when you get up. I had the making for a LED fixture and got rid of it cause i wasnt sure what i was doing or if they would support my tank. I am wanting to conserve POWER,HEAT, and looking for LONGEVITY. you seem to know about the SOL fixture and thats what i was lookn at but just dont know. would 4 of them be enough?
  11. lookn good RENMAN, will be interested to know the outcome in a few months. Keep us posted
  12. so am i just chopped liver,POS reflectors=POS results. didnt need a meter for that. i would imagine that my #s would be about the same since i have a homemade POS light set-up, im surprised that anything will grow under my reflectors. I shld have spent $2000-$3000 on a manufacture light that i wouldnt have been happy with. JMobservasion. I enjoy all u bring to the reef club and support you in all your adventures, these are truly astounding findings i would have never thought.
  13. or DIY ur own fixture. then u can make it the way u want it.
  14. so i guess for almost a year i have had no heater, this winter the tank would get down to 76.8 at night and 80 during the day. i didnt see any ill effects. During the summer months my tank stayed around 79.2 night and 80.4 during the day. to this day i havnt had any problems with the corals or fish i have, i thnk its cause its a graduale warming and cooling.
  15. I wsa going to say something about GFO, it will help ALOT. if the tank is new it will take time to get it gone, it will go away. Or did for me. The more natural you can keep it the better for the system. Let it run its course, run carbon and gfo. This is JMO, im not a professional.
  16. it may not show up or it might. No time table IMO.
  17. I guess that my water change process is about the same, I keep 20G of RO/DI water on hand at all times, and 25G stored in a garbage can in garage. The morning im gonna do a water change i bring in my BRUTE trashcan and pour 20Gs into it, then i put 1.5lbs per 5 gallons of water into it. I drop in a RIO1500 and let mix till its crystal clear, if there is a temp problem i drop in a heater to warm it up. I then syphone out the DT (20Gs) and then plug the hose onto the end of the RIO1500 and pump the new water back into the DT. Also when i do my WCs i turn off the tank and pumps during the drain and fill process. Usually this pocess only take me about 30-45mins for a complete water change.
  18. ok,ok,ok...I used to use Gman bulbs, used to. I have been using WAVEPOINT for almost a year and havent seen any ill effects. I personaly like them, havent done any PAR comparisons but my corals speaker for themselves. I just ordered 16 replacement bulbs, 8 for now and 8 for when they come due for changeing again. I purchased 8 from RCA and 8 from HELLOLIGHTING, i also get my MH bulbs from them cause they offer FREE shipping and are usually cheaper by $1-$2.
  19. i have PMd yall my #, call n set-up time if u want
  20. yes, im gonna cut the colony down to the base, its interfearing with other corals. I wish i could take it out completely cause it grows so fast but its melted on a huge rock that doesnt move. what doesnt get bought will go to RCA if Jake wants it.
  21. No, it meant free, advertising strategy. That catches your eye then you look!!!!
  22. Neon green slimmer, FRESH cut sizes will range from 1"-3" or 4"s. $10 a piece. LMK
