I don’t think it’s a syphon, I have the hose hanging from above the sump. It’s probably the sensors like you say. Hopefully the eye isn’t bad I just bought it a couple months ago. I’ll try to line them up better like you said and see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Little update, frags and fish are doing great. Do have a cyano outbreak so I broke down and bought a bio pellet reactor. Should be here soon. Also started running gfo through a filter media cup. Hopefully that will help some. Added kalk to my ato, after my ato dumped a bunch of freshwater into the sump. I’m really confused why when I fill the up the reservoir later it just dumps water until the float valve stops it. Seems like it’s only an issue when I fill it up. Now I’m kind of worried about the problem since there’s kalk in there. Any ideas? It was completely full, that’s how much water it dumped at one shot ☹️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got some fish in the tank finally. Added 4 flame hawks. So far everyone is eating and pretty happy. No chasing or bickering yet. Although I noticed 3 of them stick together and the last one is kind of a loner so we’ll see how this plays out. Been watching very closely the last 2 days. When your broke because of your wedding and upcoming honeymoon to Hawaii you got to improvise on making a skimmer stand. Water was to high in the sump for the skimmer with a baffle that can’t be adjusted. I needed to raise it up about 3’. So me being a girl and not wanting to mess with pvc or egg crate I just went straight to the kitchen to find something that would work. Woo hoo for good ol cheap Tupperware 🤣. (I would have had money if I would have stuck to my guns and waited till after the honeymoon to add fish....dang you divers den for having a bonded pair of flame hawks) I couldn’t resist, they are one of my favorite fish 🤷🏻‍♀️ they’ll be here Tuesday.
