  1. Look in our for sale forum here too. There is always someone selling something. Welcome to the addiction!

To find the equipment, Craigslist.com and look around differnt LFS consignment area's....now on the topic of used equipment. When I buy used equipment I clean every part before using on my tank, I will also try and see if the product works and all pieces are intact.

On the subject of LFS, I spent a full week going through each Fish store looking at thier tanks (seeing how everthing was setup, what equipment was in use, and what the health of each fish was), also talk to the employee's and you will find you novice's and your experts (or ppl that at least can point you in the right direction with out filling your head with a bunch of bs). Find those stores that make you want to keep coming back everyday (I am sure some of these stores are getting sick of seeing me :-P). My other recommendation is look in the main forum and check out ARC's sponser's (these stores in my opinion are the best of the best in Austin).

  2. Thanks guys! Ive been checking craigs religiously now :)

and to the Marine...yes, like off FINDING NEMO :D Which is prob my FAVORITE movie! Have you seen it? I really like the fish in that movie, so I'm hoping to get maybe a royal gramma, a moorish idol, maybe a porcupine puffer, a couple Nemo's and of course a Dori ;) Maybe an eel or a shark's egg too. Havent quite decided on corals yet, because its either a porcupine puffer or corals :/ Very VERY hard decision for me...

Thank you for offering to help w/the move. I'll most DEF take you up on that offer, I'll need a strong Marine to help me out :lol:

I'll have a 30g (kept freshwater fish in (black ghost knife) that I will be most likely giving away in the next 2 weeks. If I don't give up the 30g I have a 20 long I will give away...let me know if you would be interested in them. (you could allways use em for a DIY sump/fuge or hospital tank) :-)

  3. Welcome Lurker, good meeting you today.

was very nice meeting you to today ;) , great store...I can't wait to see how it looks when you get it the way you want. :)

  4. I like it when people actually listen to what I tell them.

    welcome to the board :)

:o shows ppl are taking your advice.

I am will be getting digital camera and posting up some pics soon. I've had a few 200g saltwater tanks in the past and help maintain a 820g...w/ close friends I the size jump for me will go down pretty good.

  5. I was Aquatek today and was told about your fine club who pointed up at the banner on the wall. I currently have a 2.5g w/ a built in sump (will house a sexy shrimp), 10g reef tank (currently cycling), and a 55g freshwater (houses my ghost knife). I will be setting up a 600g fish only tank in the next couple days.

Im glad that i have found a local forum/club, I hope to learn much from everyone's vast knowledge of this pleasing hobbie.
