contacting them for knowledge and input seemed to work out well for me, too. cara pretty much told/guided me the color, size, mounting height, and beam angle i should use for my tank. but, you may know all you need to already.

Welcome, I joined up the same way. No tank, found nice people with knowledge to share, and bought a complete system from a member here. Research now so you know what you need so you don't get antsy while waiting for your tank to cycle and end up rushing things.

That's crazy nobody had caught it until now. If it was due to atmospheric pressure the discharge side would often be under more pressure since it's at a lower elevation. So not only is it wrong, but even the description is fundamentally backwards.

i raised the nitrates in my tank to 160 ppm and got mine to move...the other ideas are probably better.

a bridge basically gives you an ethernet hub so you can hard wire network cable things into it. so, i have one for my entrainment center that pulls wifi from the air and i plugged my DVD player into it by cable since it is not wifi enabled. it'd be like plugging a regular phone into a cordless handset and effectively have a cordless regular phone. although, that'd be kinda stupid, but the analogy works i think.

a modem reads the signal from the provider and translates it into home network.

a router takes the signal from the modem and lets you split it into different computers (wifi or cable). i think a router is the same thing that used to be called a hub. but, perhaps there is a difference that more computer literate people than i am know.
