  1. For the last few days I've been having trouble attaching files to my forum posts. Some files upload fine, but when I try to add another i get "upload failed". The files have been *.jpg between 100K and 600K. I just tried to upload a picture and it wouldn't go up. I submitted the post then "editted" it and was able to upload the photo without a problem.

Anyone else having this issue? Maybe people are just tired of my photos :)?

    Thanks, Dennis

Are you still having this problem?

I haven't tried too many pictures lately. But, no, I don't believe so. Thanks.

  2. Why does it matter how old they are? None I saw had green and yellow shag carpet, so they should still be good.

Yeah but corals grow, things are added, just want to see everyone's updated tanks!

Ok, that seems reasonable. But I agree with others that it would be best to bump the old thread.

  3. @jestep and @olaggie - thanks for the info. so, i can buy something yellow and not have to do PO4 testing smile.png.

While I know you are joking, testing for PO4 can provide you with valuable information, plus it is an easy and accurate test with the Hanna ppb checker

eh, partially joking. i'm not sure i'm going to get anything fancy enough to worry that much about PO4, at least for a while. i occasionally check it with my API kit, but no PO4 has shown up yet. not that it would detect 0.003.

it's still a young system, so i'm mostly watching nitrates. also calcium and hardness since i'm starting to get some LPS.

  4. i hesitate to post here, because as a noob this may not be as good as i think it is. but, instead of getting a frag kit i odered a 24 U.S. Military Field Medic Instrument Kit. It has two scalples, a few types of tweezers, some locking pliers, and more. i am not confident that the scissors will cut bony corals, so that may need to be added seperately. but it seems to have worked out well for me so far and costs less than $15.

  5. Interested to see how these yellow ones grow out. I seem to have a hard time keeping anything yellow from turning green. I really like the 3rd to last one.

could it be too much light in your system? more light -> more chloraphil -> more green?

  6. New coral from Fish Gallery, some PPE's .. took a small chunk of it and put it in the 24g tank.

Oooooh, I like those aqua blue ones in the lower left. What are those called?

Those are duncans. Really like them, and they do really well in my tank.

Cool thanks. I didn't know they came in that color. I'm planning on getting some Duncan's for round 2.

  8. If she was in law maybe she was reviewing for legality. But even if I told you the porn was terrible, wouldn't want to see this "terrible" porn. Reviewing seems pointless. But if they are hiring why not.

sorry, wait...i should have said friend-in-law, like mother-in-law. i was describing the relationship, not the occupation.

  9. How does one get into the porn reviewing business and does it pay well?

i have no idea on either count, actually. i've never even seen a porn review, so i'm not sure what publication you would even apply to. never seen "new your times give it four blushes" or anything on the back of a box.

  10. yeah ive had alot of deliveries like this...too...ive found that the uber rich dont tip well either...like a dollar...guess thats how they got uber rich...it's the median income people who are very nice to you and talk alittle and give you a good tip ($5-$10)

you expect me to tip and share my charming personality!?! greedy....can't think how to finish that in a family friendly way...sorry.

ok, $5 i can get behind, but surely someone is ordering a lot of pizza for a $10 tip. My typical order is in the $20 range, so $10 seems like it'd have to be there before I got off the phone :).

i like getting the inside scoop on tipping from the industry professionals. it is very handy.

  11. yeah...theres a lot of success stories out there for those who can "take" the work...the owner of my franchise started out as a driver and now is one of the biggest franchises in texas owning something like 60 stores...he bought one and it just kept snowballing

there's the stigma of the pizza guy that really bothered me at first until i realized how much i was making...laugh if you want at the guy knocking on your door...but keep in mind he's probably making the same if not a lot more than you...and he's working his tail off for it too to make sure things are right for you

That's why I don't tip smile.png. Fortunately I like cold pizza and just order the day before. Of course I'm joking. Congratulations Dustin.

lol...i was gunna say...geez what a jerk!....haha...these guys really do work hard...i mean im all for getting pissed of when service is not good but give credit when its due...lol...you should see me in a restaurant when theres a lazy waiter or waitress...i embarrass my wife all the time...thanks for the congrats

Man Dustin, you're a tough customer. Glad you didn't come and sit in my section at the OG. Lol. My wife is the same way. Embarrasses me when we go out to eat because she's real rough on servers. Luckily I'm the one that tips and pays but I feel bad for those guys and gals.

Funny thing though. In all my time waiting tables, the vast majority of guests who were super rude, insulting, and just generally unpleasant usually left the best tips. On the flip side, it seems like the nicer people are who like to engage in personalized conversation and are almost friend worthy, give the lousiest tips. Sometimes none at all.

i'm not a jerk! well, i am, but not to the people that have my food out of sight for so long :).

nah, the other day i was in a restaurant and got bad service, which is rare for me. i mumbled "dang it, she's making me do math" because i actually had to figure the 15% instead of just throwing a decent amount of money at the table.
