  1. I've decided to just let this guy go. Nobody seems to want to trade for him... sad.gif

    So first come first serve....

For pics, please refer to my earlier post. It is a long spined urchin...

  2. I definately have an abundance of Feather Dusters and starfish, I was worried because they are at epidemic levels along with the astrea stars in my main tank. The Feather Dusters are even starting to cover my return pump (brave little guys).

  3. I have a question about mini-white serpeant star fish. I was looking at my refugium today (I got lost in it for roughly half an hour) and noticed mini-serpeants all over the place. I had never noticed them before, but I'm assuming they are safe because of their size. Do they attack pods? Also, I have an outbreak of mini-white feather dusters as well. How many is too many? Both seem to have taken over, anyone have any thoughts on this.

  4. I have Ocean's Blend 1 Part (Calcium) and 2 Part (PH/ALK). I no longer have any LPS or SPS in my tank, just softies (Thank you Derek). Do I need to dose 1 Part anymore or can I just dose with the 2 Part? I have had a lot of success in the past dosing them both, but I don't really see a need if I don't have any LPS or SPS.

  5. I had a lot of it in my tank previously and everything was doing very well. It was actually mixed in my fuge with Chaeto and did very well. Some made it up into my display but was quickly dispatched by herbivores.

  6. I'm looking to trade this Long Spined Sea Urchin. If anyone is interested I'm considering any and all offers. I had a run-in with Green Hair Algae a few months back and picked this guy up based on some advice I received from an LFS. Turns out he is a Green Hair Algae eating machine. Ofcourse I did other things besides just putting him in, but I noticed a lot of patches where he had eaten the Green Hair Algae. Once the Algae was gone he moved on to my mangroves. Attached is a picture of what this little veggie eater did to the mangrove. I no longer have any mangroves for him to munch on and I have never had to scrape my glass since adding this guy.

Also, if anyone has any corals they need to trim back, I'm starting my tank over again after the loss of $700 worth of corals. While I was in Kuwait, my wife lost track of the temp during the summer and....let's just say there are a lot of corals in coral heaven right now.

  7. I am visiting Corpus until the 29th of May and was wondering where I could go to pick up a few more snails and crabs for my tank. When I lived in Florida I would stock up at the beach, I'm betting I can do that here in Texas too. Anyone know of a good spot to hit down here?

  8. I'm near William Cannon and I35. Saturday the price drops another $50 for everything. I have already received two phone calls and it appears both the gentlemand and the lady are waiting for Saturday. Go figure!

    Subsailor,

I don't know if you will want to buy everything from an AW. ;)

Again, I'm sure I won't need to part out.
