I have asterinas too, these are white mini-serpent stars.

I could take a picture, or you could look at your picture and imagine a milky white color instead. I'm having a hard time taking pictures (junky camera) of them for some reason. I'll keep trying though....

I need about 200 gph. I have a SeaClear protien skimmer rated for a 75gal, the RIO 600 I had seemed to be made for this skimmer as it fit perfectly and had several pieces that I haven't seen on pumps before. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to go out and buy another RIO 600 just to make sure it will work right.

The pump for my skimmer just went out, anybody have a small pump for sale or trade? I'm going to head over to PETSMART or CO tomorrow afternoon if nobody have something laying around. I guess I should stop cleaning my skimmer so much. I have this nasty habit of taking it apart down to the impellar to give it a good cleaning every month or so....

Sorry, just moved and it is sitting behing several boxes. I will dig out in the a.m. and snap a few shots. The stand and canopy were homebuilt, the stand needs one small 2x4 in the back and the canopy may need one or two nails tops. Willing to trade it for a smaller tank, in the 75 to 90 range....

I can't help but make a comment.....I know...I know.....it was as accident, you didn't mean to spell selling wrong, but in this case, the accident makes a good joke.... I am sailing my 55 gallon fish tank...........LOL that is hilarious.......LOL......I have this mental picture of guy in the water sailing his fish tank........ Please don't take this the wrong way.................I know I'm wrong for pointing it out.....

Ok, I have been seeing this word "ONYX" all over the place and I have no idea what an "Onyx" clown is. Can you enlighten me?

The wattage is 250, I have three frags and they are positions high, medium, and low....(funny huh). The low is fine, the high is half bleached and the medium is all bleached with some normal spots. They all still have polyps and have been in the tank for roughly two weeks now.

In Jacksonville, Florida, there is a LFS there that has several display tanks that never get fed. The owner has mutliple fish and corals in each tank and says, "If the fish and corals don't eat what's on the reef, they don't eat at all!". While I don't agree with what he says, he did have very healthy fish and corals. Another friend of mine in Florida fed daily and never did a water change in 3 years. He had the largest fish I have ever seen in the hobby. Myself, I feed every other day and I have never had a problem. Just find the right balance in your tank, experiment a little (and watch closely) and you will find what works for you. Like everyone says, less is usually better with aquariums. The less you mess with it, the better off it will be......

I was given some purple digi and the lighting from the tank i received it from was T5. I am running Metal Halide and the corals bleached out. I still see the polyps coming out every day but I was wondering how long they will be bleached for. Not all of the frags completely bleached, but most did. Any ideas out there on timeframe?

What would cause my anenome to spew a brown substance, than bring all of his tentacles into his base? He left a lot of them hanging out with no water in them. They are deflated and he just doesn't look very good at all. The only thing I did today was remove my urchin and replace less than a gallon water. The water was tested and the salt content, parameters..etc were all fine. All other corals (softies and sps) seem to be doing just fine. I'm puzzled? I don't know the habits of these guys and this may just be one of those things that happens every now and then...but I wanted to make sure...

I haven't heard from the person who wanted this Urchin, it is now back on the market. At this point I'm open to any and all offers.....

Thank you Derek for the frags and Chaeto. The large mushroom is already opened all they way. By the by, you tank is awesome, I really enjoyed it.

I had a lot of it in my tank previously and everything was doing very well. It was actually mixed in my fuge with Chaeto and did very well. Some made it up into my display but was quickly dispatched by herbivores.

I wouldn't mind a piece of it, I don't have anything to trade as of right now because I am restarting my reef. Are you going to the meeting this weekend?

Wow, your reef sounds like it is running good. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy seeing it tomorrow.
