  1. My experience is that a fresh water dip actually stresses the fish out and hurts them more. I have been feeding them food soaked in garlic and they appear to be fighting off the ich but I will take more measures for safety. I actually believe the FW dip is what killed them by weakening their immunity with my previous fish.

  2. Thanks for the advice. I am about to have a melt down. I was baffled by the itch again. Well turns out for some unknown reason my heater was not turning on (tank must have been almost freezing last week). My apex unit was turning on and off properly but for some reason the Heater would not power up. I assume the internal thermostat had something to do with that. I just cannot believe that happened.

  3. A massive outbreak of ich killed almost all of my fish 4 months ago. I left the tank empty for 3 months and recently added three fish. The fish were QT'd for two weeks and then somehow broke out in ich 2 weeks after introduction into the display tank. I have tried everything in the book other than a UV light. I was wondering if there was anyone in the general vicinity of Waco that would either lend or let me rent a UV light from them. I would be much obliged. Thanks for any help.

  4. My parameters are in check but the two mushrooms I have in my 37 gal will not full expand they just stay shrivelled. Oddly, they look amazingly healthy with great color so I suspect maybe the light or flow is too great? I am just wanting to know if anyone has had a similar problem and how they handled it. BTW I have Zoa's in the tank and they are in perfect condition.

  5. Is anyone currently bidding on these? I am wanting one frag but do not want to pay the full 40 dollars shipping for just one frag. If anyone is currently planning on buying frags and has extra space in there shipment I would love to put one frag with your shipment if you do not mind. Let me know! Auctions end in 2 hours thanks!

  6. Aquagirl. I would not go a 1:1 ratio depending on which LED's you are choosing this is actually very important. When are you planning on making this purchase? I want to provide you with the correct information but its so much that it would be so much easier to make a youtube video. I cant make the video until Wednesday though because my shipment gets there on that day. I am making a all inclusive tutorial for led selection and DIY. If you are doing it sooner than I can just write the information down I guess.

  7. I am going to make a youtube video come this Wednesday regarding a really good LED set up for a tank that is almost those exact same dimensions. I have bought all the parts for under 300 so you should definantley check it out. I would type it all up but it would be so much easier for you watch the video. IMO this will not be hard to do at all for that size tank. You would just be using 40 degree lenses that will make the light go much deeper in the water.
