That's fine for now but you'll have to rehome them as they get bigger. [emoji12]
It's an 8 foot tank, how big do you think they are going to get.... you are full sized now right? You could quite easily fit in there!

I knows it's not nice to invite yourself over, but when you are ready I'd love to come have a look. AGE in on my short list for my new tank.

Awesome tank, I'm looking at a very similar size, and AGE is on of the vendors I'm looking at. Very interested in seeing your finished product when you get it!! I still have a handful of months before I'll be ready buy a new tank.

That looks great.

I just glue my frag plugs to my urchin to shortcut this process. Okay not really, but I've thought about it.

That looks great! I see you went with leveling feet. Are you worried at all about one of them being the single point of failure? I debated using them on my stand, but ultimately decided against it. Sure makes leveling easier!

I like those heater holders, I might have to pick a couple of those up!

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear this!

Just be careful, as you know aiptasia are fast spreading, I also heard that they can fly through the air and get into your display tank! I think it works like when dandelion get caught up in the wind and spread. I got this from a repeatable source!

I can't bring myself to spend that money on a fish, otherwise I'd order him now. I obsess over my fish now a bit, at that price I'd have to quite my job... then what?

I was really just playing with the camara on my phone last night, but then decided I'll post a pic, It's been a LONG tine with no update. As stated in a different post I've struggled to keep SPS since I moved. I believe it was an issue with low Alk, I'm still in the process of validating that, but so far so good.
A rock flower anemone, I've had this for about 8 months:
This was toward the end of my light cycle for the day, so more blue and UV than green (white).

Yeah! Callahan's not even in the saltwater hobby anymore! He turned to flying fish husbandry didn't he?

It might just scare away anyone thinking of starting up.
I was all but ready to pull the trigger on a 175g tank... then I decided I should put a quick budget together... that changed my mind, well at least postponed that action.

Sure! I've been wondering if you upgraded already. Mine is super simple, just 2 holes in the bottom, the intake side has a 1.5" bulkhead and the output is 1" one. I went with a waveline dc variable speed pump and will use the apex to control it. For the output we're testing it using 3 nozzles. Right now there's a ton of flow but the design might change a bit depending on the aquascape etc. I think that's about it. I'm sure you know, but you can do more than 2 holes and do them on the back, or even like a hob type set up.
Thanks for the info, I was thinking about some sort of a device like Oceans Motion (http://www.oceansmotions.com/) it's a bit pricey and I don't know much about them, but I like the idea.
As far as my upgrading.... I really want to, I have some priorities & obligations ATM that are taking my "extra" funds.
Keep up the great work!

Looks great, can't wait to see the next video . I'm really struggling about deciding to upgrade to a larger tank, and I love the idea of a closed loop system, can you share any details regarding how you are doing yours? I love the idea to minimize if not remove the need to have pumps/power heads in the tank.

Wow, looks great, but... It's a pretty cool fort!!! Are you sure you really want to turn that awesome fort into a tank?
Great job!
