  1. That would be fantastic if you are sure you don't mind!
  2. I have a tiny (2 gallon) reef I keep on my lab desk. I recently moved to this 2 gallon tank from a 2 liter tank. It now looks pretty bare in the bigger volume. I am looking for any tiny frags or pieces of rock that people are willing to part with. I don't really have anything to trade besides some red and green Gacilaria (not much). I originally stocked the tank with corals rescued from a failing system and would like to see if I can build it up with other people's afterthought pieces. Can anyone spare a dime(-sized frag) for a poor little nano tank? Thanks!

    Gracilaria wanted

I ordered red and green Gracilaria from reefcleaners.org, thanks for the links. They both had it but reefcleaners had a wide selection and were really helpful when I wrote them. Wish me luck!

    Gracilaria wanted

Not a lot I want to grow it out anyway so I don't need very much. Are you sure it is Gracilaria? I know nothing about IDing the genera. What can you tell about yours (where did you get? growing well in your tank etc.). Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it.
  5. I am looking for Graciliaria, if you know the species that is great but not necessary. Let me know if you have any, I will gladly pay for some.
  6. I have a tiny yellow Colochirus robustus that needs a better home. He never seems to extend his filters in my tank. I would like to give him to a better home. I would love a trade of a tiny frag, or some snails. If you feel confident taking this guy he is yours. A trade is appreciated but not necessary.

    Purple Up

No one want it? I have used maybe 2ml of it and it is just sitting in my cabinet.

    Purple Up

I have a bottle of Purple Up for trade. It works great. Unfortunately for me it worked a little too well in my tiny little tank. There is coralline all over the glass now. I have only used a few milliliters of it. I would take a handful of some good critter filled live sand in exchange.
  9. I PMed you about the tunicates, I am also obviously interested in your sponge frags.
  10. That would be fantastic. I have had very good luck with filter feeders in my nano, it's nice and dirty for them . I'll PM you. Thanks.
  11. My former boss at A&M is looking to get some ready to go nano tanks for some marine labs. She has been looking into Aquapods and when I looked into them they seemed comparable to other nano ready systems. Does anyone have any experiences with these packaged ready to go tanks? Are there any that are head and shoulders better than any others? Any she should avoid? Thanks y'all.
  12. You could use a power head. Why isn't the finger over the ends trick working? Put the entire tube in the water so there is no air. Then pinch both ends closed. Move to overflow and only release when you have the high end submerged and the outflow over your receptacle of choice. If you have soft tubing you could move the overflow tube out of your sump into bucket. Then you could stir up the gunk and let it flow out.
  13. Really? Could I come get some after the new year. I want to be around to watch it to make sure it is OK. I'll PM you later.
  14. That's a good idea. Anyone willing to part with a piece of a sponge?
  15. I've had plenty of cryptic sponges pop up now and then (this is a very small tank) but I would love to have something a little gaudier to point out to people who have never seen a live sponge. Gunk on the bottom of a rock does not impress. I have my little tank at work and like showing people all the little weird critters.
  16. A lot of them are fairly translucent. Not all. I have seen some that were opaque. There are surely hundreds if not thousands of tunicate species. Once I saw some purple ones in a lfs like the ones in the picture. I have been trying to find some more like that ever since.
  17. Anyone have any tiny and pretty sponges? I would love to get some for my tiny reef.
  18. I have been wanting a tiny tunicate for my pico reef for some time now. Does anyone have any they would part with. Preferably something colorful and non-invasive. Thanks
  19. Cool. I'll keep that in mind when I get the tank going. We are gutting an old TV to build the tank into. It's going to be neat!

    Tiny medussa

Anyone ever seen tiny medussa in their tank? I got the algae from someone from this forum at an exchange a couple months ago.
  21. Thanks! Got any recommendations for some pretty little gobies that love the spotlight?

    Tiny medussa

They are way too small for my to get a picture of. This is a (obviously crude) drawing of one.

They are free floating. They are swimming around.
