Thanks for the info. The broken axle in my pump is about 3mm in diameter but I need to measure with caliper.
-
Impeller axle broke in my old Accela pump (the original which comes in JBJ 28G Biocube) during the cleaning process. This is plastic 2.5" rod. If you have one that you don't need or have any ideas for replacement for this part please LMK.
Thanks

Siphon out the cyanobacter carefully with the upper layer of substrate attached to it. Check water parameters especially PO4 and NO3. Do not overfeed and most importantly increase the water movement in the substrate proximity. Get the skimmer running. Be aggressive or it will reappear soon.

Started with kalkwasser but quickly moved on to BRS two parts + Mg. Still trying to find/tweak the right dose manually before I invest in peristaltic pump.

Looking for a frag of favia/goniastera, prefer contrast colors.

Very nice, with a strong flow.
-
Very nice, I like the red chalice the most.

I saw them in Aquatek last weekend but they were kind of big. Need smaller.

I am looking for a few small turbo snails. Don't want any giants knocking off my frags. LMK if you have some and would be wiling to sell or know which LFS have them.

Acrylic or glass, both work just fine glued with silicone. You may use a little ticker acrylic to prevent bowing.

I have some as well (pH7 and 10) and I live North (Breaker and I35)

Common sense tells me that the coloration depends on more factors than just light. I am pretty sure the water flow is important as well as alkalinity, Mg concentration et cetera. The problem is to find the optimal conditions for each species. Corals (photosynthetic) need the dinoflagellates, however too many cause the color to become brownish, too little results in bleaching and coral death.
Thanks for the links.

Does that mean that water flow is more "important" than the amount of light, as far as the coral color is concerned? Any comment on that?

Mlew I have a 29 biocube with DIY LED lights (CW and RB). I also had a panorama strip W/B in addition. This panorama strip recently died (they dont last longer than year) so I bought some 3W cre LEDs and installed them on the panorama strip. 2 violet, 1 red and 1 green. The idea was to mix some other colors and bring up the red and green. The results is the red is an overkill and so is the green. This is just too much for the nano cube. This is obviously my subjective perception.

Welcome, very nice setup.

They (the pics) are pretty sharp, almost hard to believe they were snapped in the tank. As far as the makro lenses are concerned, they cost more than the camera. Anyway, congrats again.

Very nice. Some of them looks like taken with makro lens. Where can I buy this photo barrel?

I was wondering how much pH swings in your tank. I will start with my data.
1. What is the difference between day max versus night minimum?. - 0.2pH (8.10 - 8.30)
2. What would you consider a safe range? -?
3. Also please indicate if you have refugium with light and what is the light cycle. - refugium light opposite cycle to DT
4. Any alkalinity, calcium dosing. - B-Ionic calcium and alkalinity 1ml of each every 2-3 days
5. Capacity of the tank + refugium. - 40G
Thanks for your input.

If you are still looking for the GSP I have a hand size rock covered with GSP (Briareum sp.).
