you want to reduce the flow to the tank? the bypass off the manifold would allow you to do that, you;d dump that "extra" pressure back to the sump.
-
plumb in a bypass on the manifold, pump it back into the sump. this allows you to dialup/down the main flow. over time when the pump gets gunky, you can dial its back up w/ that. I have a bypass i dont use for that, but its handy when i need water to "disinfect" new stuff.

90mins after the change, nitrate 60ish. we calculated it to be about 75% water change. so.. original off the chart test was around 240-250 w/ these numbers. crazy man, CRAZY. test again in the morning, may start his fish drinking everclear!

so im at my neighbors house, and i notice his tank is.... lets say struggling yes? struggling. "dude, let me test your water" it went off the API scale in under 30 secs (its a 5 min test). So we know, at a bare min, 200, factoring delays and titration of a normal test... its probably like 600-800. but i digress. "me: you have any salt?" "him: i have this bucket" "me: still got that barrel?" "him: yea" "me: pull it out, ill go get my smaller barrels" 90ish gallon water change on a 160 w/ liverock.... so 60-70%? 1hr on mix, 40 mins for the water change.... I made my 9pm conf call at work.
farg im exhausted. oh yea, his skimmer was dead.. like dead dead.. so not he has my old skimmer too *lol*

is that stand slightly lower than the old one?
-
I dunno, but you should host a "adding fish to tank" party, because we're all impatient and wanna see

hurrry uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup.

i switched from pro to instantocean/coralife reef variants since i have the CARX. no reason to pay extra for stuff you are already adding in at a more costly manner. I wouldn't do a large water change until you have a full algea bloom on both sides, or you are just extending the bloomtime[tm]. lack of patience in the enemy!

*there are no rods* *this is not the droid you seek*

I used mine as an emergency vinegar doser if the ph spikes or something. I'll probably be using the new one for Mg to augment the CARX, since apparently theres not enough Mg in there!

I found a snazzy app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.rethinkvision.Bimostitch
